This was brilliant. I've never really spoken to Mackey but this illustrated that he is a great human. One of the best interviews so far and he was a fantastic story teller. Can't wait for more.

Skated Liverpool through whole of 90s. Also lived in Leicester in late 90s for bit. First met Mackey in 91 or 92 with his crew. Always been rad and good guy. Not spoken for years but randomly, im pretty sure Mackey lives in my neighbourhood now. Spotted him a couple of times but passing in my car. Ive got a good pic i took of Mackey in 95 ish that i plan to give him. Also got video footage too, im currently putting from tape to digital. Mid 90s Liverpool skaters.

I cannot think of a better guest, one of the finest humans in skateboarding and so many stories.

The St Helens Car crew was Steve Lynam, Al O Connor and a couple of others. Al was so ahead of anyone, shame he wasn't allowed to pursue skating.

@ I wondering what day do you guys usually post an interview. I’m already a subscriber so I get notifications but I was just wondering because with other podcast I know what day of the week/month they post, so I usually will be looking forward to that day

I'd say the early 2000s Fifty Fifty team is a contender for top shop team . .

I’ve only met Mackey a handful of times but each time was a delight. I know more Ash and Ali more growing up in Southport and skating there mainly. I got my first set up like most people in Southport at arcade sports that’s still going today but I got my first proper board and bearings (red) from lost art when ash worked there.
