I volunteer at a similar zoo and provide that enrichment as well. Our zoo has a gorilla bachelor zoo and one likes to sneak up behind me when I’m watching KZbin. There’s an orangutan that likes to interact with me because she knows I have colorful pictures in my bag.

Now we need those animatronic babies with a animatronic woman controlled by the mother through the motion capture stuff to safely test direct interaction to see if a mother gorilla will safely interact with an actual human mother and baby knowing the situation. that way if they do lash out it's only a animatronic. 😂 Primates seem to he escalating in intelligence, wonder if one day they will be intelligent enough to be seemingly like the Planet of the Apes slowly evolving in intelligence to actually build up to at the very least basic sign language conversations, imagine in a hypothetical world you see human and gorilla/chimpanzee at a construction site xD working.
