I have a sample of Snowy Owl. I think it is beautiful but, given I live on a farm in southern Ontario where it always seems to be winter, I am not inclined to wear it. It seems a touch redundant. I think Zoologist is an amazing house (I am a fan of Tyrannosaurus Rex and Moth) and I thank you for introducing it to me via your reviews.

I tried Bee, Hummingbird, Chameleon, Beaver, Snowy Owl and Nightingale so far. I like Bee and Hummingbird even if they are a bit too sweet. I don't like Chameleon, due to the ylang ylang note. I hate Nightingale, I find it cloing and dated smelling. Beaver is horrendous on me due to the animalic note, but smells sexy as hell on my husband. (Lol) But oh man, Snowy Owl. I absolutely adore it, it is one of the most poetic and evocative perfumes ever. As you said, it is a work of art. It gives me the sense of something warm and alive under the icy surface. I will buy the full bottle very soon because I am totally addicted. ❤️

My favorite house, I love Bee, Moth, Koala, Civet, Camel, Hummingbird, Squid, Hyrax, ... so many... Snowy Owl is too soft for me, from the new ones Chipmunk I don't really like but Macaque Yuzu I like a lot.

Zoologist is my favorite house! Some of the perfumes are challenging, but I still wear them all the time in public. Chipmunk is incredible, and so is the new Dragonfly!

I'm a zoologist fan, Panda, the Yuzu formula of Macaque, and Camel are great. I just got Chipmunk last night, chef kiss :) Snowy Owl was also challenging for me, I love the top and middle notes on their own but don't enjoy the mix with civet and musk. I couldn't think of a moment where I'd reach for it.

I personally love Rhino, Camel, and T. Rex. My wife loves when I wear T.Rex. She says that there is something about the smokiness of it that makes her feel primal. Strangely she likes to wear Moth and occasionally the newer version of Bat.

I agree Snowy Owl is art, but not comfortable to wear. I love Squid! Normally I can’t stand aquatic scents, but that’s not the main thing I get. It’s ambergris and salty sweet notes. It’s a teensy bit inky up top, but beautiful. I enjoy Musk Deer, but there is a fruity note (?the ambrette?) that sometimes smells like my kryptonite, melon. I bear with the fruit to get to the lovely cozy dry down. Bee is MASSIVE and wears me! I’m never bored w Zoologist fragrances. They are fun and fascinating. Thanks for the review. Be well.

Just finished my decant and will definitely buy a full bottle. Snowy Owl had to grow on me, it was not a love at first sniff. But now I like it so much. A wonderful scent. Different from other green scents and very pleasant to wear.

Interesting. The snowy owls migrate and come to the coast of NC and stay a little while around the beaches and islands, so I personally associate them with the ocean, and maybe that's also the inspiration for a watery or marine touch with grasses such as the what grows on the dunes.

I smelled the whole line minus snowy owl and I'm confused on why people would want to smell like these fragrances. Great art and presentation but I don't care about how a bottle looks I want to smell good. Definitely something you buy and it will sit in the back of your cabinet

I'd tried a dabber sample of Snowy Owl. I like it but not as much as a lot of other Zoologist offerings. It was weak on me and didn't last long enough (spray may be better),but I had no issues with the smell of it. The mint seems to stand out for me... I do love Elephant, Moth (bought travel sprays and carded spray samples), Nightingale (sample) and Squid (only full bottle purchase). When my Moth and Elephant travel sprays run out I will definitely buy another or even a full bottle.... Bee is wonderful but can be a bit too sweet some days.

I was a huge fan of Zoologist's first editions. I don't like their latest trend: reformulate everything; as many of their fragrances were perfect, IMHO. I own: Elephant, Camel, Dodo, Panda, Bee, Squid, Macaque and Civet. I adore all of them.

I love "Hummingbird". I have an almost empty bottle now. I sampled a couple of other perfumes from the house too. I enjoyed the old Dragonfly so much. I like Camel, but it's too masculine for my taste. And I couldn't stand Squid.. it gave me a headache every time.

Wonderful review Sebastian. The imagery was extremely helpful. Nearly everyone has mentioned that green touch too. Always loved Victor's packaging, but like you said, I'm not always a fan of wearing an environment. 😄 Unless....you know, it's a bakery or coffee shop. Then pour it on me. THICK.

I have the 2017 reformulation of Panda. It’s a lovely scent and I am surprised that it never gets any recognition. I wear it often in warm weather. I agree with you - my favorite from the house is also Bee

I would sample. Many like Bee but many don’t- for example, me- it’s too sweet and strange for me. I do like Moth pretty well. So I would sample Bee, Squid, Camel, Moth, TRex, Elephant and Koala:-)

I want to try the zoologist catalogue of frags so badly. As I do with Penhaligon! I however decided to plunge a small fortune on Baccarat 540 Extrait, Serge Lutens Chergui, Portrait of a Lady, a vintage 90’s bottle of Narcisse by Chloe (swoon), a bottle of Etat Libre De Orange Fat Electrician for hubs, Twilly De Hermès, a vintage Panthere De Cartier (so much better than the new reformulation) and tons upon tons of decants. Next I must have Lilac Love and a certain fragrance from By Killian. Soo yeah. There are simply too many lovelies!! 🥰😣
