At this point in my fragrance journey Zooligist is just a house you dream of. Being from Europe the shipping costs are huge and I usually end up going for a more affordable alternative for new fragrances. But when I do pull the trigger on some samples it's defitnitely going to include Bat, Elephant and as a huge leather fan Rhinoceros. You do make T rex sound damn sampleworthy though, so that's probably going to end in the mix as well

Thanks for the awesome video as always! I'm in love with those dark, heavy winter scents so it seems like I need to get my hands on this one. The one perfume I would want to try most from Zoologist is their Hummingbird, I love lilac and the note breakdown looks incredible with all those different florals but also wood and honey.

Class act as always man. You tell it like it is with tact and professionalism and that keeps me coming back. I am a budding collector with around 80 new and old, cheap and a few high dollars scents and would be ecstatic to give this one a try and see if I get that same twinkle. I haven't sampled or owned any zoologists' creations yet but man do they sound intriguing. The concept of the rendering of the rose note to give a blood nuance is " killer"! Take care.

Love this stuff. What an amazing olfactory journey. I get a burning leathery pine resin accord, and the florals and sweeter undertones smooth it all out... beautiful. Great review! I haven't had the chance to get my nose on any from this house yet, but Rhinoceros seems to be the one I'd be most interested in because I love the note of leather. Very nice review! I definitely found T-Rex challenging when first smelling it at Perfumology but I need to give it another shot. I love the spark of cade in Imaginary Authors A City on Fire and I recall getting a lot of that when smelling this the first time. Also, I’ll see you Friday at the PDM event!

Fantastic review steven 👍 I'm a massive fan of this house. Almost gothic style presentation , i adore rhino. A rugged rough and tumble ready kind of boozey leather. I wear it when i i'm on one , and feeling very extroverted. The one i'm most interested in trying next would be bat , we'd explore caves along the coast as kids and i remember that smell of the damn earthy rocks. I want to see if they can match that memory of mine 👌 Sláinte.

I would really like to try Bat from Zoologist, due to the musk, leather, sandalwood, & tonka notes in the base. You know that I LOVE the darker side of fragrances, and your description of this new release makes me excited to give it a whirl! I enjoy a good prominent, bold, challenging sent. I've seen a couple of reviews about this fragrance, and as much as it is described, I can't imagine the smell. I have to try it soon. The one fragrance from this house that I really love is Camel. Awesome review, Steven! Based on the overall notes and presentation, I think Rhinoceros would be a Zoologist fragrance I would love to try or own, as it seems to have a rum, oud, and leather vibe. I've never tried any Zoologist fragrances before, so I'll certainly have to look into that in the future. As related to your review here, I totally understand where you are coming from in terms of talking about fragrances that have an artistry. Encre Noire is one of those where the vibe transports you to an artist's room where you can see canvases of art made with dark ink and you take in the artist's works. I love your overall description of Tyrannosaurus Rex and your passion behind it. This may be one of the best reviews I have seen from you because you can't hide your excitement about the scent character and overall feel. This seems like an amazing scent and one I will try for sure. An excellent job as always! :)

Just (I know a little late) got my nose to this in a full sample set. This draws me in over an over again in such disbelief. I find it handsome rough ... a true arrogance to it. In fact it would require that person. I have ordered FB of MOTH and BEE and Ltd edition MUSK DEER just to reveal how much I love this house. Waiting for the release of new Dragonfly and Squirrel. I've honestly never tried any of them, but I have heard great things about the house and one fragrance in particular, "Moth" in my neck of the woods there aren't many places for me to try fragrances such as these....
