I watched one contact mic video and now youtube is convinced I'm a sound engineer. It's been a fun change of pace since I have never had any interest in this topic at all, but now of course I want to buy a contact mic and wander around banging on things in public

I've just ordered a pair of Korg CM-300s and wanted to see / hear what other folks had done with their experimentation. I really enjoyed your presentation style and I'll certainly be watching more.👍

I use my Korg to mix into matching stereo recordings to give a nice bottom end.

This is the greatest ASMR video ever

The metal drainpipe you walked by at 8:13 would have produced some interesting metal sounds and echo. Shame you missed it.

does the zoom f3 have preamps to boost the contact mic signal? do all field recorders have this? (such as tascam H1n)?
@KongThaoSound4 ай бұрын
@@Fifteen_Fifty Yes you can adjust the preamp levels on the F3.

Cool video, what do you use these sounds for?
@KongThaoSound8 ай бұрын
I actually don't use them for anything. It's more for when I feel like I need a contact mic for certain situations, I"ll have it handy and basically testing it out.

What XLR adapter is that?

That's Hosa's adapter

My question is, putting audio edition aside, when you record these sounds they clipped?
@DreamNoiseFM Жыл бұрын
Unless there is a limitation in the mic itself, clipping 32-bit float recordings is nearly impossible. The dynamic range is astronomical!
