Nice video. I started on an H6 and added an F6 this year. Nice to see a channel like yours telling viewers that a years-old unit is still a fantastic tool. Zoom got it right, mostly, with the F6. No need for the shiniest new thing on the market!

I have a zoom that I originally bought for accepting audio from a mixer to then input into an iPad Pro for live performance broadcasts during Covid. Since then, I have used it for field recordings. Zoom makes a great product!!!

Thank Barry for this INFORMATIVE video. As of today, August 1st, 2024, yours is ONE of the ONLY two that shows me you are using an NFP battery to power your Zoom F6. I have 2 questions please. First, what kind of NFP battery you're using? and how many hours of recording you get from it? Second, four years ago, when it was first released, some people reported that Zoom F6 has Line Out issue. Has it been fixed in 2024? Or do the users still have to use the workaround? Thanks again.

It’s been a while since I bought them I don’t remember. Still doing great today. I bought them from Amazon and they were inexpensive. I did a couple of projects during the pandemic where I ran it non stop all day and barely out a dent in the battery. You can also power via rechargeable brick, you now the kind you charge your phone with as well as a dinky battery of yoga e an electrical source near by.

I am surprised, but for a product review or quick look, I suspect YT'ers are just using whatever is convenient. I keep a Smallrig NPF on my F6, the version of their battery that can be charged via USBC instead of an NPF charger sled. AA batteries are for emergencies.

Barry, don't you have a woodworking channel as well? If so, what's the info for that? I'm also a woodworker and a musician.

Cool. And if you put a strap on it, you could wear it as a watch🤣

That’s a great idea. It does have a built-in clock on it.

its cool. sure. but describing that BT optional dongle as a feature.... its Product crippling. 2024, i was promised flying cars, and i get to pay extra for devices connecting to each other? theres another company who does this, much as i love zoom, this is idotic.
