I personally like the G1xOn but there's loads of requests as well for the G1Four. So I bought this pedal. Soundwise or I mean the built in preset patches and effects. The G1xOn is amazing. But, the built quality and the arrangements of buttons like the looper and rhythm that's got separate buttons plus the banks that are readily available and the stomp option, the G1Four is better on these aspects. And also it feels like the G1Four got a better sound quality and quieter.

I really dont understand how pedals work, do you plug it into an amp and just configure it from there? Also can you add your own wah to that pedal? Great videi

The output of this pedal is dual purpose. If you plug a mono guitar cable, then that's the one that you use to connect to an amp. But if you use a stereo jack, then the output converts into a headphones out. You can use any headset and do your silent practise with this pedal. The pedal is very powerful that you can configure a lot of things for example your own virtual amp. It has amp simulation and speaker cabinet simulation meaning you can choose from Fender to Vox or Marshall amp and a lot more and then what size of speaker from 1x12 to 2x12 to 4x12 or even 4x10. And then this pedal can be your virtual pedalboard where you can add and arrange loads of effects from chorus to delay to tremolo. Regarding the wah pedal, the zoom G1xFour got the builtin wah pedal. But if you got the Zoom G1Four where there's no wah pedal, you can always just add a separate wah pedal and it will work just fine. There's auto wah with this pedal but I don't think it will be as good as the pedal. The autowah is more of the funky rhythm. I haven't tried it yet because the unit can only accommodate 5 effects at a time so there's also no room for the auto wah. My plan is to buy the cheap mini wah on eBay.

my output settings vary in terms of patch volume level. So it doesnt stay the same. It depends with the amp Im using coz Sometimes it gets too loud or quiet. The cab sim, I mostly turn the mic on settings on the Cabinet/Speaker option. Hope this helps.

To be honest, it's not that great. But for beginner musicians and for home use or production, I would say it does the job. The built-in patches are not great. But with a bit of tweaking, you can sort of make use of it. There’s hum on most high gain settings, but can be rectified by using noiseless cables or with guitar wireless system. Another factor could be instead of power supply use batteries. Also the guitar if it’s been shielded and rewired. Hum bucket pickups versus single coils. And last but not the least the amp. I don’t use an amp, I am plugged straight to the mixer. Amps sometimes got static noise because of voltage or ground issues and it gets amplified by the pedal.
