@guitarontheflipside5965 жыл бұрын
I almost traded this pedal, till they made the 2.0 , and later, the 3.0 update.so i was happy to discover that ZOOM actually have decided to continue updating this pedal and drop the MS100BT. You now basically get all the MS70 delays and reverbs, which are very usable. Obviously, they are not as pristine as the analog pedals, but it does come close enough. The MS50G is a great utility pedal for the buck.

so does it still make sense buying the ms70? I am a synthesizerplayer.
@chriss.77723 жыл бұрын
@@robertsteinberger5667 it does if you want the stereo pedal! You can actually get all the effects of the ms50g, as well as the ms70 and others from the same range by a simple free software tweak. Take a look at the video "I HACKED my ZOOM Effect Pedal and THIS is what happened" on this very channel.

It is soooo good that I have a second one to experiment at home with different patches for songs. I use it with rechargable batteries. The other one stays in the pedalboard so I take the second one to practice with the amp. You don´t need anything more. 50 euros second hand. Bang for the buck.

Some of the chimey stuff like verbs sound harsh, but this pedal is totally worth it for the lo-fi stuff alone. A boutique bitcrusher pedal is going to be more than this pedal. If there are even a handful of fx that you find useful, this pedal is worth the price.

How do you (if you're a viewer - feel free to comment) deal with losing the sense of rhythm when playing on reverse reverb setting? I don't necessarily want to turn the dry on. You definitely hold the KEyS (ha ha, get it?) to getting some cool effects combos. I've been thinking about trying one of these Zoomy doomy-doos out for myself. I figured I might end up with two of them, and use one for mods and some delay/reverb, and dedicate the other to delay/reverb. The only multi-effect unit I have is a Line 6 Pocket Pod, and it doesn't have anything wild like pitch-shifting delays or reverse reverb (then again, I haven't messed with hooking it up to my laptop yet). I did get some good sounds from it, especially one that sounds lifted from "When In Heaven," by KOD, or maybe certain Lush songs. I got it partly for amp sims, but it doesn't like pedals at all, so I can't drive it with any of my fuzz pedals. :(

Nice. So it looks like most, if not all, of the effects from the MS70 have been added with the 3.0 upgrade. If so that’s awesome! Is the only difference between the 50 and the 70 the stereo input? In the settings you can tell the pedal how long the sceen shall be bright lighted. It will only be able to dim the background light after a few seconds. It never really turns off.
