I never had the luxury to use Zoom, but I do admit that Zoom is a lot better because the developers care. With Zoom, multiple users can share their screens simultaneously and also, other users can point on the presenters' screen.

This is a useless video. There is no discussion about what the ACTUAL difference are. Just stories about how this anonymous person and that anonymous person like Zoom more. But no actual information I would expect a discussion about features, video qualify, reliability, security as well as ease of use. All this does is talk about ease of use, but with no actual specifics. I expect more from ZDNet. Very disappointing. Don't waste your time on this video.

I can understand why you can see this video as useless. There is almost no discussion about how they are different, better, worse and so on. But, I think that's the point? It's not about the technical or functional difference. The point is that sometimes people ignore facts and choose something based on emotion. What they are saying is exactly that - Zoom is more popular because people have the PERCEPTION that Zoom is better based on an EMOTION they are experiencing, not whether it actually IS better.

Zoom is for kids and the technologically challenged. I need a professional adult platform. MS Teams is superior hands-down.

Sorry but Teams is not even built for large meeting. You cannot use it for more than 120-150 people. You either have video issues or have audio issues for many.

As a video conferencing platform, they both do the job needed and the "better than" conversation is moot. Teams is the better, and possibly best, chat-based workspace platform, especially for mid/large corporations. The the integration with Azure, M365 Suite tools, Sharepoint and the Power Platform is the real "vs" conversation that not enough people are having.

Problem is, its features are hit and miss if they work. I've learnt not to trust it, whereas Zoom has never not worked for me.

All the reasons they're saying Zoom is better are superficial and overcome easily in Teams. The deeper answer is that Teams integrates natively to all MS programs so stakeholders can update "sheets" during the meeting while they're not talking, to save time doing it otherwise on their own. Teams is now 1080p if you have the pipe. Hands down, MS Teams blows all else away and this comes from a guy who can't stomach Microsoft and their methods and philosophy.

Teams is far superior to Zoom! If I had a dollar for every time Zoom has crashed or dropped a participant, I’d have a large number of dollars. Teams just works. But that is just my opinion and this “news” is just someone’s opinion.
