I've been using it for a couple years. It really helps that I can use xlr mic inputs to capture my stereo guitar amp along with the recording and have separate audio and video files for each of the inputs.

For me, it is a fantastic camera. Indeed, a good video is not only made by camera: in digital video lights are crucial to get a good definition. You have to get good lights and know how to use them.

q8 don´t have phantom power(is one important limitaton compare to zoom h5)...he´s giving a wrong info here. Q8 have limitations in the power suply because you can´t charge the battery while it´s on(at least via USB) You could buy a charger but nobody explains this point...

When connected to a Windows or macOS PC, the Q8 can function as a webcam. But it's horrible resolution.

Hi, I have an issue that's driving me mad with the q8 and hope you got the answer (been trying to contact support but haven't gotten an answer) When I record more than 3.6gb (+17 min on highest quality), it only shows the first 17 min when I transfer or see the file on a computer. But when I play it in the camera it shows the whole thing. I read that it will split it, but I couldn't see any splitted files, only the first 3.6gb. I have a SanDisk pro 128gb, and it's from the recommended sd cards list.

32 GB or larger should be fine. I recommend a really high-speed SD card, like 80x.

Brian Auer, hold your horses on it. In my preliminary tests, the webcam performance is dreadful and downright unacceptable. I've seen better from built-in webcams than the USB webcam ability from the Q8. I'll have a full review soon. Please make sure you're subscribed to see the review when I post it.

No. Only the short shaky portions were with the Q8. The rest of the video was shot with DSLRs.

I find it better to use an EXTERNAL MIC because there is a LOT OF NOISE if you hit the camera or the stand or even set it down you will hear the bUMP noise

do you know of a setup without a fish eye lens, but with image stabilization so someone can film you and an audio interface (preferably built in like the q8) to get great audio..

Great sound and horrible video unless you are shooting in full light 10 feet or less away. No zoom basically (ironically)and just god awful video for most settings. However, if you are in a small space and want to capture loud sounds it is ideal.

Waste of money,the worst video ,sound is ok
