You can tell Hunter wasn't even diagnosed let alone treated properly.. he went through trauma and you can see him having flashbacks through the season every time his trauma is triggered which suggests him suffering from PTSD besides being a sociopath.

The origin for Hunter in this series was inspired by Eobard Thawne’s New 52 origin. Where Thawne’s father murdered his mom at a young age and that left him alone growing up. The only difference is that Thawne becomes the ruler of Central City in the future he comes from and not a serial killer like CW’s Hunter Zolomon.

At that time, Hunter (as the self proclaimed "True Flash") also harnessed the Strength, Still and Sage Force if I remember correctly. That's why he got an easier access to the Forever Force, which allowed Hunter to literally manipulate time itself to his will. That's also why Hunter was harder to defeat than Eobard since Hunter doesn't harness the Speed Force.

I really feel sorry for Zoom. Before I thought he was just some monster, but now I see it wasn't entirely his fault he became the way he is. His tragedy was even worse than Barry's because not only was his father actually guilty of killing his mother, he had no one to take care of him and the foster home he was sent to was hell. It's for this reason he grew up knowing only hatred and it was his childhood trauma combined with losing his sanity when he became Zoom that drove him on the path to becoming a monster. He's only known hatred his entire life and didn't see any love from others😢😰😭😢😥. But if Harry knew about Hunter Zolomon, how did he not recognize "Jay Garrick" as him since he doesn't look any different?

Still wondering if this version of Hunter Zolomon had the default speed force energy trail of yellow at first before corrupting it with the V9 drug. Because Eobard Thawne’s energy trail was red without an explanation because ‘villain’ and the negative speed force wasn’t even mentioned until seasons later.

As for Hunter Zolomon, he originally had before he used the V9 drug, which enhanced his speed and turned his lightning from yellow to blue, also at the cost of his life. As for Eobard Thawne, he replicated the incident that led Flash to obtain his powers, but upon being "humiliated" by the Flash (while the truth is that he endangered people to make himself the hero) and being broken by the revelation that he's destined to become the Reverse-Flash, Thawne built a machine that allowed him to tap into the Negative Speed Force, rendering him almost immune to timeline changes, changing his behavior and his lightning being red.
