question Logan could use your help ... I had 2 of my speakers signed up for the main link I am sharing to invite people ... Can I also sign my speakers as panelists . What is the difference between the speaker link and attendee link .....is this when you add them as a panelist . Need your help . We are getting ready to do an event soon

If you have panelists, do not have them sign up or join as attendees, via the attendee link. add them as panelists and they'll receive the link to join as panelists.

Ideally, you'd like to sign up your panelists as panelists on the backend in Zoom.com when you're in your Webinar settings. This enables them to join your practice session ahead of starting your webinar. They will then need to use their panelist link to join your webinar. As Shelia mentioned, you don't want them to join as attendees but if they do, you can upgrade them from attendee to panelist if that happens by accident. Hope that helps!

So are you saying that in the practice session your guess speakers/panelist have control and can actually press the "Start Webinar" blue button ??

Yes, unfortunately they can! So I try to get in there first and walk them through the features to make sure they don't accidentally start before they want to

@@loganclements I'm confused, on the Zoom Support page it says panelists cannot start the broadcast from the Practice Session, only hosts, co-host, or alternate hosts can do that.

hi, i have a question so can the practice session happen anytime, for example a week before to ensure tech checks or is it necessary to do it just before the start of a webinar?

Great question, yes you can do a practice session at any time. You just don't want to hit "start webinar" or else any attendee who's on the link will then be able to see and hear you.

Hi Logan - how do I find the panelist link if I need to resend? Zoom only lets me resend the link to the panelists, but I'd like to be able to grab it and send from my own email. Help!

Hi, sorry for the delay! You should be able to copy it from the Zoom backend, in the same place where you resend the link. Hope that helps!
