Tried the free 'Google Meet' for a 4-way session in April/2022. Echo and noise are still massive issues. The noise cancelling feature is only available to G class enterprise customers. On the free version it starts with echo and somehow gets better but attendees are continuously heard over each other. It doesn't have a 'Raise Hand' feature in the free version to allow specific users speak, so It's chaotic and doesn't sound good with more than a couple of people. Not promoting competition but zoom free version is at least usable.

Thanks for the feedback. The new echo issue is to do with an update to Google Chrome. Noise cancelation is now available on all paid tiers (possibly still being rolled out to business starter). It is an incredible feature!

My biggest fear is video quality. Is it as good as Zoom and as stable?

In my own experience I would say it’s better on Google Meet. I have far less issues when using Meet than Zoom. I think sometimes we forget that Google has a huge amount of experience with streaming video thanks to KZbin. That knowledge is clearly brought to bear in Google Meet. - Fintan

google meet can handle 500 meet.. but its an top tier expensive license.
