Command & Conquer: Tiberian Sun was released in 1999 - 26 years ago! It was one of the first RTS's I ever played, and its place in my heart remains to this day.

I remember the teaser video in the original "Command and Conquer" (1994ish I think) - which showed the big stompy robots with lasers. We waited 5 years, then when it was released in 1999, they were there, exactly like the teaser. Yes it's still cool with the higher res graphics and lighting effects.

I think RA2 is the best C&C in gameplay, but Tiberian Sun to me has always been the absolute best lore, worldbuilding and story. I remember doing my 7th grade final speech project on mcneil (as a lego) with a little tiberian fiend mockup made with popsicle sticks, hot glue and felt. Everyone was bored because they didn't really understand what I was talking about but boy did I enjoy it.

Same, I always found the old Red Alerts being the ones with the best gameplay which makes sense since they come out after and are more refined in that. The Tiberium universe by far had a better more instresting story, themes, lore and atmosphere which I prefer. Although I find CnC3 gameplay better than RA3, my only complaint with CnC3 was how they changed tiberium and thr atmosphere depicted in Tib Sun. It should have looked like how it did in tib sun or better yet like the mod used in this video

Your issues can be fixed with just one mod though. Oh, and there's a separate expansion mod that fixes tiberium in the Forgotten. Adds a new faction with campaign too.​@Sir_Wolfoo

The officel game can still be bought on steam thats what i use for it but it all good still a grate game regardless of how one gets it. if you love rts games it one of the few you cant help but play. i grew up playing the rts gnra. very cool idea tho.

Me too. Though I can't really install them on modern OS thanks to the securirom bug with a windows update package.. That said, I found an ISO reader that kind of fakes and bypass it if needed. Nowadays I play just via cncnet or steam.
