Yeah these coasters hold a special place in my heart. When I was a ride supervisor @ Six Flags New England, I used ride Flashback every morning b4 the park opened with an empty train and just me in the back left seat. Def. good times that last a lifetime :)

It certainly looks Purple now, and I doubt it was just the fact it was dark out. Last year Zoomerang was still green during Haunted Graveyard, but this year it's Purple with I believe Blue supports. Damn you Lake Compounce!

I was scared to go on this ride, because it was my first upside down roller coaster, but I went on it and it was AWESOME! I went on it 8 more times after too!

The Demon in Australia is from 1992 to 2004, so this can't be sold in Lake Compounce because it was 1997 that the Zoomerang is open. There is a identical ride called Zoomerang in Alabama Adventures, a park where Zoomerang is moved from Australia

i went on it today:-D 200 kids in my grade went to lake compounce and we had basically the entire park to ourselves so there was absolutely no line. it was great!

haha my harness flew up on the first loop once like 7 years ago on this ride. i was scared shit less. went right back on of course lol. zoomerang is known for its breakdowns!!

Yeah i have been tryin to tell folks that but you know how that goes. The one they talking about is in Alabama Adventure in Bessemer, Alabama. This coaster was new when it was installed.

Act. it was about due for a paint job. With the steel coasters you have to repaint them about every 5 years or so. Though most parks wait longer, the purpose of doin that is to cut down on the rust, and keep the ride in good stable working condition ;-)

@casinobowling it is because at the bottom of the second spike going backwards you are pushing 4 1/2-5 g's when you go into that element.

I love the Boomerang design and have ridden many of them across the country but I'm noticing as I get older that the cobra roll inversion (I think that's the name) is becoming more painful to the body. Anyone else have this problem?

Did Lake Compounce permanently change the color scheme on Zoomerang? I was there a few days ago for Haunted Graveyard, and noticed that Zoomerang was PURPLE. WHY?! Was it only a temporary paint, or is this the new color scheme for good?

@reynosoeddy I've held season tickets for both SFNE and LC (and am a Bay-Stater), and I hold LC in a much higher regard than SF. In terms of Zoomerang vs Flashback, same thing to me, but everyone at LC seems to be so much nicer and the park itself is less crowded.

Wrong ride, the ride you are talking about is at Alabama Adventures in Bessemer, Alabama. It has the same name as this one. The one in Alabama is now at the rides third home. This ride in CT was a new install when it was opened...

yes I agree that compounce would be good for very young children. the only two reasons i am visiting are Boulder Dash and Thunder N Lightening. You understand right? I am an SF passholder and went their twice already, waiting for bizarro. youre right though

Nah no tripod, I just ride the dang thing lol. I guess it comes from working at Six Flags and riding coasters everyday for bout 5 years, and going on countless coasters all over the country.

@themepark2k9 I also ran a Boomerang for a couple years, and had the pleasure of running it in manual in testing when we first got the ride. Now if you wanna operate a boomerang do it in manual lol it is def. not as easy as automatic...

Nah as far as I know this ride was installed new in 1997. Those might be different coasters you are refering 2. They are pretty popular rides or at least used to be.

well from the video you can clearly see that i was holding it. I have been on hundreds of coasters of all kinds. There is a certain way to sit and hold it. The flying out of your seat does not bother me kinda act like it in a sick way lol...
