He died dreaming about his best friend/master! This movie is beyond words, so is a (wolf turned) dog's evolutionary love towards us! Through the passage of time over millions of years they have evolved with humans and perhaps this bond we share is unparalleled to any other animal human relationship. Thank you for making this masterpiece! My son was hell bent on having a puppy after watching this movie! Can't control my tears every time I watch this!

My father told me the story of a ‘loyal dog’ that waited for its deceased master at a train station for 10 years, when I was a young boy ~ 36 yrs ago ( in 1985). My father did not know the name of the dog. I always remembered the story because it touched a part of my heart which only such a beautiful & sad story could. I found this movie by accident recently and watched it with my father yesterday (2021). My father loved it. It was a truly great bonding experience with my pop. To think, a dog, whose owner died almost a century ago, half a world away, could have such an emotional impact on my life and memories ... it’s unbelievable. It’s simply incredible. Love you Hachiko. You and your extreme loyalty is something, we humans, could and should learn from. 🙏🏼

My first dog, my soul dog, was a chow mix. Loyal isn't even the word for these Japanese breeds. They devote their whole lives. So amazing. I lost him in 2012, and it still hurts like it was yesterday. I was so, SO lucky to have been his mom. I adopted him at 10 years old (rescued him from a family member) and we had the best 3 years together until his body shut down on me..

This movie just represents the love that a dog has for its owner . And how that dog will never stop loving the owner no matter what . It shows a dogs loyalty to its owner . It’s a beautiful but sad story . I watched this movie for the first time when I was 4 and I’m now 13 . I can never not cry when I watch this . But this will eventually happen to everyone . It’s sad but true . But we’ll be with whom we love . Hatchi passed on peacefully by dreaming of his owner . He is in heaven now and he is safe . Rip . May god be with that dog and all dogs for their loyalty and love

My best friend, my dog pasaed away today at age 11 and a half. I have never felt the pain I have right now. Never. Not when family members died, not when I lost everything. Never. Yet it comforts me to see that my friend will be waiting for me in heaven until my time comes many years from now. I said my goodbyes, and I told him we would meet again soon, and remembered, with him, the times we had together. Thank you buddy, for being my friend. Thank you for your time with me. Thank you. God Bless you. And we will meet again soon.
