Being a man, I've never been able to fully comprehend what it's like to be told you can't give birth. I'll never know that feeling, but this poem brought me closer than ever before. The way Zora communicates pain and love is unlike any other poet. This was beautiful and heartbreaking.

Wow... This is too sad. I feel the pain. My God, I pray for you. "Fate is some stingy wench to every month bleed me, sacrificial as a lamb But no one will eat"... God bless you and comfort you, and may He move things around in your favour!!

As someone who has a goal to be an amazing mother to so many children, I can only partially fathom the pain that you are expressing. If I were ever told that I was to be barren I don't think I would be so gracious and elegant. Props and prayers to you.

Powerful and painful. I cried a tear for each name she gave to her babies never to be born.

You speak, I feel. What can I say? Nothing that will make you feel any better. But if I could give you my womb, I would. I've never known injustice so painful, to want something your body should rightfully give you, but flesh, blood and bone refuses....yet many of those who can bear and birth also abandon the beloved fruit of their womb. Such injustice.
