I read that no one can agree what the "correct" order is for the 4 guardians for powers. And doesn't seem to be a story preference either, except, I would say the Zora domain first due to Prince Sidon and the Zora asking you to help. A friend said she did it in probably the hardest order, starting with the Gerudo first and working clockwise from there.
@nhouse01 Жыл бұрын
@@LeSethX the first time I played it I did Gerudo -> Goron -> Rito -> Zora, probably the worst possible way. Don't even know how I managed it, I hit the Zora first and then I decided to wait to go help them because I was annoyed at how many times they asked for help and I wanted to be stubborn, and then I was just wandering around with no rhyme or reason lol

Don't know if anyone has shared this tip but the blood moon can also be your friend. Make note of where you find good weapons, bows, and shields as long as they aren't in a chest (only exception is chests in monster camps) they too respawn. So every blood moon you can restock your favorite weapons you've found lying around.
@racherutheneko7270 Жыл бұрын
So true. I always go back to that one cave in the desert.
@Nat_the_Chicken Жыл бұрын
This is a common misconception. Blood moons do NOT respawn all weapons or other resources in the same way they respawn enemies. Weapons will only respawn if they're directly associated with an enemy, i.e. usually held by that enemy, or lying against a log in the enemy camp so they can run to pick it up. Weapons that just stick out of the ground in random places, as well as plants, animals and ores, follow a weird system where a random map square is restored every certain amount of time. (And I don't think monster camp chests are an exception to the chest rule, if you get the chest and then revisit the same camp later, killing all the enemies won't get you anything anymore.)

A little tip about weapon attack scores: higher isn't necessarily better. Spears have lower attack but are much faster, so dps-wise they can in fact deal more damage than other, supposedly higher score weapons. If you only keep weapons depending on their score you'll end up with a full bag of two-handed swords and the like!

In Japanese is pronounce sidon because is a play of words of musical notes, the King is "Dore" "Mipha" "Sidon".

*Do re fa, actually. But it's also probably based on dolphin, like a double entendre. The melodies of Mipha and Sidon's themes are based around the notes in their names (in fixed-do solfege), but that doesn't mean Poseidon doesn't have anything to do with it...
@DaimonAnimations Жыл бұрын
@@Nat_the_Chicken I don't know on the English side but there's an interview with Nintendo's sound designer (Hajime Wakai, sorry I misspelled his name) mentioned they wanted to give the Zora and the royal family to have musical world play with their names to connect them more which is coming from Nintendo themselves establishing this fact. In fact their theme songs use this exact notes so their names are played in their own themes. During the interview there's no mention of Poseidon or anything regarding with Sidon's name it could be just coincidence with the english pronoutiation and probably because the Zora has some sort of "Atlantean" design but I guess is just pure coincidence that western people might thing Sidon is for Poseidon but in reality it has a different purpose so far according to the interview with Nintendo.
@Nat_the_Chicken Жыл бұрын
@@DaimonAnimations Yes of course, I don't know why you'd expect me to question that they did the note name thing on purpose, it works out too well to be an accident in any case. I'm just saying they might have picked "si do" to compose the theme because it lines up with the Greek sea god's name, which is probably a loanword with similar pronunciation in Japanese, and a similar thing with "do re fa" since I imagine the Japanese for dolphin is probably close to "dorefino".

They have very nice loot at the end. - Lightning channel through any metal, whether you're wearing it or not, and water is a really good conductor. - The Magnesis and Stasis Runes make for excellent radars. - When in doubt: Burn it. If you find yourself in need of rupees, go hunting! Cook all your meat at once and it'll sell for a good price. Also, this is a mid-late game tip only if you're interested: there are a few NPCs you'll find in the game that will pay you a lot of rupees in exchange for random stuff. With that in mind, there are three things that I collect and hoard as many of as possible for when I meet those NPCs-- Rushrooms (the purple ones that grow on the side of cliffs) Gourmet Raw Meat (hunted from large game) and Baked Apples (you can drop up to 10 apples at a time on the ground and cook them with a torch). Hey Gabbers! Some tips for those Test of Strength shrines! 1. The first phase is the one where it spins and charges at you. That one is easy, just stand behind a pillar, let it wound itself, and then fight back. I also find that ice arrows are nice to freeze the guardian and do a little extra damage in between. This gets you to the second phase a little faster. 2. The second phase is the laser updraft. Use your paraglider to fly up, which you already have mastered! This part will 100% be successful with a heavy two-handed weapon, so be sure to have one on hand. They make a much bigger impact range when you ground pound and you're less likely to miss the guardian altogether. 3. You've already got the third phase down! It starts with a charge up for some laser hits, and if you're unable to do damage during this, just KEEP MOVING. Even if you're not sprinting, as long as you're moving directly sideways and not towards the lasers, they won't hit you. Of course, you can always use pillars to shield you. Then use a bow, or you can charge with a good fast weapon. This is the formula that I use every time and it hasn't failed me. Of course, if you find methods that work better for you, totally use them! This is just how it works from my point of view. Good luck!

It's a true pleasure seeing you play this and have a great time - I've been watching you daily for like a year, and decided to go back and watch your BotW play-through. Was sad to see you not vibing with it - I'm glad you're having a better time! :)

Royal Zora fan club for sure, both siblings are such awesome characters! How sad though, for Mipha. Also what a beautiful weapon. Also lol I love how Prince Sidon is defs in the Link fan club for sure hehe. What a cutie. A new Link's awakening I love that so much and those pictures you took were brilliant XD What a good episode.

in majora's mask, the zora tadpoles look like music notes, so at first everyone was convinced that Sidon's name was pronounced like the music notes, you know like si and do and tbh I prefer that

Can’t believe Gab is a Sidlink shipper! welcome to the club! also you can always craft the special champion weapons at npcs in the towns of each champion, for Mipha’s weapon just bring a Zora spear and a Diamond to the Blacksmith in Zora’s Domain and he’ll make you a new one also glad you’re enjoying the game a lot this time! cant wait for the next one!

At the heart of it, Link is as much the hero of the people as he is the hero of the Hyrule kingdom. Enjoy that warm fuzzy feeling, it's what makes Link's side questing worth it. I actually kept the trident and the rest of the champion's special weapons. Tempted as I was to use them, I held back and saved them till I could store them.

I think you can get the champion weapons remade, but I always chose to hang them up in my house in Hateno! Always felt like Link was then hanging them up as momentos and out of respect for his fallen friends. Which is both very sweet and sad, especially when you get the picture frame of all of you together as well.

Kinda sad that Mipha died while fulfilling her role as the Zora champion, she had so much hope... You will live on in the heart of our dear Link, Mipha and in mine as well

Mipha is adorable. Alongside Paya two of the cutest girls in this game. 🥰🥰

I've still not caught up with so much stuff on this channel; but I dropped the rest for a while to watch this series. I want to follow this one closely. (Although I still missed it live, damnit!) This game was certainly different from the other Zelda games. Playing this the first time for me seemed like it was so 'real'; _everything_ came together; sound, animation, story, characters, lore, open-world, progression, emotions, graphics, physics... and so on. There was no need to translate from "these are some pixels on a screen telling me something" to "I'm having an actual adventure in another world/time." But there are some subtle things that I'd not really noticed before. Link being asleep and waking up to it all with no memory is really clever. Just observe how Gab reacts to stuff in the 1st episode. It really is almost _exactly_ like Link would be; trying to work out what is going on and piece things together. Vague memories, but still uncertainty.. The almost game-breaking (but skippable) plot repeats and animations; they are a recurrent and unstoppable theme which ultimately get into your head like you've known them forever. The soundtrack we all know will be amazing. But here it also has to span the entire world, which is vast. And so it's a lot more subtle, I think. And when you _do_ spot a bit you know, it's "Woah! I know this!" Even stuff like the horse-riding, which is erratic at first and then gradually more co-operative is nuanced. The way everything weaves together is just incredible, imo. But above all else, I've "watched" (mostly half asleep) this series so far several times now, and one thing I'd not appreciated much first time around is how genuinely funny some of Gab's comments are getting! Just Gab being who she is? Or maybe me continuing to fall for the Gabberspell? Hehe. Go Gab! 🥰

Hey Gab! There’s a little Zora kid running around with a quest. The song he is singing is a hint to find a shrine near the Domain. 🎉 love your playthrough!!

Helpful tip!! For those "Special Weapons," I do the side quest in Hateno Village to buy back Link's house. All you have to do is get 300 pieces of wood. Then I have the builders build a mount for those special weapons to hang. Instead of deleting pins just change them to stamps. I like to make mine the sword or bow :))

The shrine with the balls droping, it’s so nice to see how you did it differently than what I did🙈 I love this game!!!
@Val_Emrys Жыл бұрын
Agree. The shrines are under appreciated imo because of the many creative ways gamers have used to get the solutions. It is amazing to see other people’s approach and how much it varied from what I did.

Love the series so much!! I kept my special weapons and did the side quest where you can get a house in Hateno village. Then you have weapon slots to display them in your house as you upgrade it! Also worth doing is the side quest involving one of the construction guys at your house
