I think giving Big swig point censor and ink storm would be a perfect kit, the weapons could easily capitalize on a quick special in order to auto refill it’s tank giving it better paint output. Point sensor, give the weapon supportive capabilities without being too ink hungry compared to ink wall

Honestly, I don’t care too much about competitive viability. I just want a splat roller with suction bomb reefslider and it’s my dream. That being said, pretty much all of your kits make the most sense. I could also see big swig with ink storm and angle shooter to really hunker down on its painting abilities and supporting others from afar with marking. Huge roller main myself and I’m glad this was just randomly in my recommended 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾

While I don't see it happening for a multitude of reasons, I think the funniest potential Roller kit would be a "Carbonated Big Swig Roller" with Fizzy Bomb and Tacticooler. Now Tacticooler isn't a good spammable special -or generally a good special in most applications thanks to its limited benefits-, and while the Fizzy gives the Swig a lot of options it isn't really the weapon to take full advantage of said options. But the theming is just too good. And it would still probably be an upgrade over current kit...not that that's saying much tbf. In terms of theme, it's a dream. In terms of viability, it's just my meme.

Imo we deserve another roller with Splat Bomb, but I can understand why they took it away in 3 lmfao! In the hands of a skilled player the Kensa was insane for both offense (1 hit-ko main weapon + sub too) AND defense (Bubble Blower was crazy for Clam Blitz/Raimmaker pushes and temporarily shielding yourself to super jump away in dire conditions. Roller not being able to burst bubbles was compensated by Splat Bomb lol). Wonder what they'll come up with for the next update, and crazy excited to possibly see a Roller with Torpedo for the first time. If the latter happens, I'm definitely going to overplay said weapon too lol

These are all really great. I’ve been playing a lot of Big Swig myself and I gotta say, it’s not TOTALLY unsalvageable. Since Krak-On is taking Beakons, I could see Big Swig thriving with something like Torpedo / Super Chump. Torpedo would help the main out significantly while SC (or even Storm or Wail) would help it move in and secure an area.

splat roller definitely deserved a fizzy bomb and Killer Wail for its kit. (Since it's my most fav roller). fizzy bomb is universally great, and KillerWail is good for pressuring while still maintaining maneuvering (look at inkbrush for how good it synergized with it's SP).

Personally I would love a Dynamo Roller with Burst Bomb and Ink Storm. Burst Bomb for the reasons stated in the video, and Ink Storm because it can deal chip damage to the enemies, effectively increasing your one hit kill range with the Dynamo Roller, while still providing useful support to the team via paint. This Dynamo kit is more aggressive, but still supports the team effectively. The playstyle would be to deal chip damage with burst bombs and ink storm, and then finish off the weakened opponents with a swing of the roller.

I actually think Curling would still be best for base roller because of its ability to quickly pop out a small little annoyance that the enemies *have* to respect because of the possibility of the roller following right behind it with ninja squid, which fizzy does worse than curling because you either have to pause for a little bit charging it up, letting the enemy know you’re coming, or risk a no charge fizzy not making a good enough trail to swim through. While I do agree that fizzy is just a better curling bomb, I think curling would still be better for roller.

I think Dynamo actually gets a lot of use out of sprinkler, a quick option that can paint walls and your feet is something Dynamo really needs to help it move and decrease it's downtime (know this was made a while ago but kinda like how s-blast uses it) its too expensive for Dynamo, which is a major problem. Burst bomb was already explained, but I think Booyah bomb outclasses vac in terms of invincibility in every way, and will let dynamo play like how it did in Splatoon 2, being able to make riskier, but more rewarding plays with the utility of a quick option to give you hp that can turn a engagement from just another trade to possibly a kill if you use it right.

fellow dynamo enthusiast, i have some thoughts about your kit for dynamo. dynamo falls under this branch of a skirmisher role that's like an anchor (i call it a lockdown skirmisher). it wants to move to hard control and pressure areas of the map. i will agree burst bombs are a great sub for the mobility and combo utility it has for dynamo and the low cost of it and it can ultimately play into the weaknesses of dynamo. but splat bomba are a powerful tool that dynamo uses super effectively despite its cost, it has setups and traps that burst bombs can't set up and has a more oppressive poking tool which plays into that strength for dynamo, it limits the mobility which is a drawback but that's why a team dynamo is on can help give it the paint to move around. as for the special, i hard disagree on ink vac, in a vacuum (funny), it sounds effective since dynamo would be in the perfect range to use it effectively but there's one, if not three specials that i believe are better for this lockdown skirmisher style i've mentioned. Booyah bomb, tristrike, and ink storm. Booyah bomb keeps it alive while still playing into the idea of locking down an area and forcing displacement that dynamo can use to setup for kills. tri strike may not be a good survival special but it still is a strong special for controlling areas and now shredding objects which dynamo struggles with doing. and ink storm, i will agree of the two others i mentioned, is the weakest, it still controls and lockdowns areas and the chip enemies accumulate combo effectively for dynamo to profit off of. so ultimately for me, my ideal kit for dynamo is: Splat Bomb Booyah Bomb

If I would buff the Big Swig Roller, I would honestly make it’s damage divination better when you are trying to two flick someone in a horizontal flick and in a vertical flick. Because remember, it’s a roller with good mobility and attack speed for it’s effective range. And I would also increase the width of it’s vertical flick as well, since it’s a bit too precise for anyone to get an up close 1 shot kill with it, and also trying to poke from a distance with the weapon? Funny thought is that I had the same kit idea for Big Swig, as your Carbon’s kit idea. Imagine the torpedo combos with the Big Swig’s vertical flicks? It would simply turn the Big Swig Roller from being the worst roller in the game to possibly the best roller in the game?

I’d love for Foil Flingza to have Point Sensor and Super Chumps. The vanilla kit in S2 (Wall/Splat Bomb Rush) was a really fun support weapon but the special wasn’t amazing with it, but I think the ability to fire and forget the Chumps instead of having to manually throw bombs would make it a lot more viable. Meanwhile it can shed the Wall since it doesn’t need to hide behind it for Splat Bomb Rush anymore, and Point Sensor would be a nice way to mark enemies for deletion.

SPICY BIG SWIG SWEAKON Give it to me I would love to see a more semi-aggressive kit for this weapon to be honest. A burst bomb would be nice - the wall just takes up so much ink, and the burst bomb would really drill in that "This weapon is _soooo_ ink efficient~" thing they were trying to do before, when showing it off. Since they raised the damage to 35, it's become a three hit instead of a four hit to take someone out at relatively close range. Putting burst bomb on it, at least in my mind, helps it keep up with the other rollers that can one or two hit enemies at the same range. It also still provides a bit of support if you see a teammate in a fight, allowing you to turn that fight into a 2v1 or something, or give poke damage for your teammate. As for the special, I'm not really sure on this one. Crab seems like an obvious choice, because of Big Swig's positioning patterns in sitting back. Booyah bomb is a decent displacer, too. Maybe triple ink strike, or reefslider? Hm... not sure yet.

My dream carbon kit is burst bomb and zipcaster I know you said that it’s bad but zipcaster is made for getting up close to people and if people figure out how to use it the we might just get some competitive use and burst bomb is already a good sub for the damage combos so just imagine a carbon zipping around the stage getting splats left and right (I’d say I’m good with zipcaster) you Dan also use it to eliminate the charger or splatting and that is great since rollers struggle with the long range weapons and zipcaster is perfect for closeting the gap

Splat bomb and wavebreaker for stamper. The splash damage of a splat bomb (30) combos good with the charged slash damage (70), and wave breaker allows for more combo potential, with charged slashes and uncharged. A fun passive alternate kit for the stamper

I would love to see a day when they give us a truly custom weapon where we can have custom kit and special with a weapon. The drawback to this would be the ink efficiency on custom kits would be poorer, and the special would be harder to charge. Especially on weapons that charge specials well.

Tbh I would like to see a hero flingza with the black and blue color(black and purple could also work for an anti-hero look) scheme but added to it maybe something like torpedo, fizzy or maybe the one that slows you down(forgot the name of it but I think it would prevent supports to help their team which I think flingza kinda has more of an attacker/destroy support kit) ofc burst is also an option now for special tenta missiles is good(no crab for me lol) but I think something like whale or reef slider would be good since once again imo it’s a supporter destroyer

I've ended up doing really well with the regular roller recently, even though I never played one before (also played splatoon 1 to 3) Honestly even right now his kit is decent, the curling kinda sucks indeed but at least it's mobility, and the big bubbler somehow fits it kinda well too. Since rollers are deadly in close range, people wouldn't venture inside of the Big Bubbler, and you can cause a lot of chaos all alone simply by placing it in a good spot and partially blocking the enemy team. But of course, crab tank is still able to break through easily (at least you become a distraction and waste his special).

Wow, I've finally found someone else who also actually GIVES a shit about the roller class that isn't flingza! This class is pure torture to use so I dont find many other roller mains out there who aren't casuals. For Splat roller, it mainly needs mobility, but the problem with fizzy is that it's just too OP to put on a Splat roller in the long run. Its most likely going to be nerfed again at some point because fizzy does literally everything a sub weapon should, it inks, is both a lethal and chip damage, has mobility, combos, and can reveal players because of its extreme blast radius. As for Killer wail, I think that's a more suggestive choice because it comes down to personal preference honestly, I personally think killer wail would be mediocre, its really easy to avoid and doesn't last that long. In solo play you usually don't have teamwork, and because splat roller needs good teammates to be able to really do things, it wouldn't accomplish much most of the time. My dream kits for it would be burst bomb (you get 2, they're cheap & help with comboing+mobility) and zipcaster (ONLY IF it gets a buff.) or crab tank. I love transformation specials, and Zipcaster is an AMAZING concept but currently its really wimpy, and Crab tank is OP currently, but once they fix it it could be pretty fun and since the roller heavily relys on its teammates to help cover turf and provide openings, Crab would be an insanely good tool to let the roller be able to do that ITSELF. For Carbon roller, I'll admit, I really don't like carbon. It really only works with burst bomb and I think that's because its just a bad weapon, too weak, and has all the problems that comes with the class but without any of the upsides. However you made an EXCELLENT point about torpedo i never even thought about, so thats really spot on, as for the special, I'm not really sure but I think Inkstrike rush would be pretty cool. For dynamo, burst bomb should never ever be on this weapon, literally EVERYONE would be complaining about it forever. I love rollers, but even I dont want dynamo to have burst bomb. Curling bomb however, THAT would be pretty interesting. Gives it mobility and I actually believe curling bomb is pretty decent at being spammed. Ink vac is perfect already, but I'd also like to see Inkstrike rush as well. For flingza, splat bomb is perfect, as well as (a hopefully more balaced) crab tank, but inkstorm would be pretty good, flingza is too good right now for me to want anything super good on it, so instead of something like wave breaker, inkstorm could balance it out and allow it to have a splat bomb without making it permanently meta. For Big swig, I am a FIRM BELIEVER that big swig in its current state is just a terrible idea. It needs to be heavily reworked but its probably never going to be. However, I cannot deny that I have a lot of fun using big swig, its a support roller that I actually love playing (when my teammates dont suck), and I think your kit is pretty good already, but I think splat bomb would also be a good substitute for beacons (HOWEVER IF SWIG GETS BEACONS BECAUSE NINTENDO DEMANDS THE DEVS GIVE AT LEAST 1 ROLLER BEACONS ID SO SO HAPPY SO THAT SPLAT ROLLER DOESN'T GET SCREWED WITH BEACONS AGAIN.) I have quite a lot to say about the roller class, like how rolling, the gimmick the whole class is named after, is completely USELESS for everything except maybe big swig when its low on ink, or Roller bounce, the knockback effect on the roll glitching out and applying its knockback when it shouldn't, or how splat roller desperately needs a mobility buff otherwise any kit that doesn't have burst/curling/fizzy is automatically worse, or a lot of other things, I love the rollers. No other weapon even comes CLOSE to how much fun I have with them!

As one of those aggo Dynamos hear me out. Bring back tempered Dynamo from Splatoon 1. Killer Wail 5.1 will help with either starting or finishing damage. Then, either keep it similar to Splatoon 1 with autobomb or give it burst.

maybe that and fizzy. roller needs a tool to get around quick so splat bomb is a really good bomb but it's not great on roller. inkstrike would be fine too

As a roller player, I like these kits! Beakon on Big Swig especially would be so nice and I want Krak-on to be FREE from Beakons Though if that Flingza was in the game I think it would be a bit of a problem for everyone involved, not just us lol

For carbon I think burst bomb trizooka would be good, burstbomb can combo with the main weapon, and trizooka gives it a range option

As a Dynamo lover, I would love that kit to become reality. I’m constantly begging for burst bombs to enhance mobility and allow me to turf walls more quickly than sprinkler allows, and while I’ve adored B-bomb since it’s debut, I’ve come to really appreciate the Ink Vac and it definitely does add to the emphasis of Dynamo being intended as support; Let’s just hope Ninty makes it happen, yeah?

id argue that sprinkler is decent for dynamo because you can use it to paint your feet and walls but it 100%is no burst bomb

Since Splatoon 1 I wanted a dinamo with wall but in 3 we need burst bomb cause the game is so fast. Now for the special I love Tri strike for the good old days. I love the normal roller variant with killer wail 5.1
