IMHO flawless design in watchmaking is very rare. This is a very good example and probably the best looking affordable dive watch on the market.

Very small correction, He2 doesent exist as it is a noble gas, and dont form bonds with other atoms, or it self. So its just He. This is just me being pedantic, sorry. Anyways, awesome video, and awesome watch!

That is really nice and I totally agree the finish and quality are fantastic. It is large and thick and I don’t need a 1000m dive watch, however I will certainly be checking out other models on their website. Excellent and very comprehensive review as always Armand.

Seiko are reguarded for giving you the best value for money at a certain price point However I don't think this is the case anymore with the micro brands pushing hard to give value to the customer and the zoretto is a perfect example of that.

Beautiful diver! This is an excellent watch for the money. I been looking to purchase Seiko SBDC053 but I think I just changed my mind to this watch. I would love to see review of this watch with a blue dial as well. Bravo on a great review my friend!

+dbrph: It's a very interesting comparison because, as I see it, Seiko don't really offer the value which they used to. The SBDC053 is a brilliant looking model but the lower beat rate of the movement and the continual misalignment problems which one hears about have somewhat soured the package for me. By contrast, this is invariably going to be more of a niche watch but the quality really speaks for itself whilst the aesthetics are marvellous.

@Armand Have you considered doing a segment with The Urban Gentry? I feel like you both tie the technical details with the actual use of watches, unlike a lot of watch reviewers that talk features but not why they matter-and end up making the watches feel meaningless.

Beautiful timepiece. I especially like the strap. Now permit me to play the Devil's Advocate. The reason I wouldn't buy a dive watch is that most are essentially a variation on a theme. My only dive watch is a compressor style. Frankly, I prefer to collect a more unique design. Just a thought, since most people are desk divers, imagine a watch that has the unique and applicable features while one is at work. Continuing along these lines, what about a watch solely for sitting on the beach? What about a design for swimming in the pool? Lastly, the snorkler's watch))))

Great review, Armand. The watch offers tremendous value at that price. I'm not a big fan of He-valves (other watches are capable for saturation diving without a valve) and I think that it is a bit too large. However, that wouldn't keep me from buying at that price if I were in the market for another diver. What would keep me away is that the watch is really really plain looking. I'd get bored of that look in minutes.

Great watch for the money! I think dimensionally it’s about the same overall size as my Seiko Turtle. And only about 50% more money than I paid for that. Yet you get 1000m WR, sapphire crystal over the dial and bezel, 0.5sec accuracy per day, screwed down links, helium escape valve etc...who needs that Rolex Sea-Dweller now! How do they do this quality for the money? Is Zoretto manufacturing in China? I want one of these...in blue!

+David Datura: That's absolutely true, it's a very striking comparison to make! Where manufacturing is concerned, as I understand it, these pieces are made in the Far East, however, I've grown less critical of this as most Swiss brands in the same price range do just the same. In truth, the real test is that the brand ensures that quality control is good and that they are working with the best possible supplier.

Armand The Watch Guy yeah, sure. I wasn’t putting down Chinese manufacture, iPhones are also made over there. It’s just the apparent quality to price ratio of this watch, indicates to me that it could only be made in China or other Far Eastern country.

Looking at pictures on their website a quick glance made me think there was a Sinn 104 among some watches. The Sinn H-link bracelet also seems familiar to me on one of their other models. Can't say anything about the quality since I've never seen one live. The package, however, seems to be good value. For now, I'll stick to my Sinn UX as a dive watch.

I do wish these boutique watches would offer a no date option. More often than not the date window distracts from the aesthetic of the dial, especially when it is at the 4 o'clock position.
