Your voice reminds me of John Cale's vocals in certain moments of inflection a la "Murder Mystery" and "The Gift." And certainly your tone, too. I was skeptical when I saw "Cover of Pale Blue Eyes." A bad version is just going to be infuriating. Yours wasn't infuriating. But it was no Hilltop Festival performance, either. Even Lou Reed never replicated it again that I have ever heard. Nonetheless, thanks for such an earnest and introspective performance. Plus your guitar playing is technically excellent but projects as purely organic. Thank you for the performance. You may be interested in The Velvet Underground's performance of "Pale Blue Eyes" at La Cave, Cleveland Ohio, in which extra verses are added. I don't know if they were improvising but it's astonishing.
