No spoilers, just clarifications based on events up to this point. Logia - elemental type power Paramecia - modified body power Zoan - transformative power into creature Monet is a Logia type, she can transform into and manipulate snow. The wings and legs are from Law, so either she lost all four limbs or she wanted that for herself. Not part of her DevilFruit. Zoro can and will fight women, he acknowledges effort in martial arts and technically doesn’t discriminate but because he can accurately gauge his opponents strength, he holds back accordingly because of his code of ethics “don’t bully the weak” likely learned from his dojo. He clearly told Monet that she should’ve ran after realizing their strength differences and due to Tashigi’s arrogance decided to step back on that fight. Zoro knew the danger Monet would have on the crew and wasn’t going to let her go but decided to let Tashigi find out for herself how outclassed she was. Haki is described as the manifestation of willpower and can be expressed in 3 areas: body, sight and presence. Tashigi was singleminded in believing that you need to use armament Haki to hurt a Logia user and ended up loosing her fight. Zoro cut Monet due to his use of Haki like how Luffy knocks out the weaker opponents in a mob. Zoro literally froze her in place with fear and that same fear prevented her from recombining since she technically turned into snow to avoid the attack. You could argue that Zoro cut her spirit with his presence.

A major part of Zoro's backstory is in gender equality among warriors. He was OFFENDED when Kuina suggested he would surpass her just by being a man. He just has a problem fighting Tashigi and she assumes its the "wouldn't hit a girl" thing.

this is not a spoiler: its pretty clear that Zoro will cut women if necessary, unlike Sanji. He just doesnt like to hurt weak opponents. If you go back and pay attention to every fight hes been in, when he could he always gave second chances to enemies or didnt cut them by using the back of his blade. One example is against the Octopus Hyozou in Fishman Island, he gave him chances to back off, and destroyed his swords instead of cutting him down. In the same arc iirc, he was hitting opponents with the back of his blades.

Zoro first used Haki on Monet to cut her cheek proving he can use Haki and then cut her in half without using it as a sign of mercy but the thought could never leave her that she would be dead if he did. That's why she was so out of control, that thought was too much for her.

Harpies are a creature from myth, basically yeah, bird women, though in most depictions I think they were shown as very ugly and hag-like. Monet's other inspiration is the Yuki-Onna (or "Snow Woman"), an evil spirit from Japanese folklore. My theory on why Zoro didn't take down Monet right away is more meta than anything actually story-related: in this Shonen-oriented story, Oda doesn't want a male protagonist to physically harm a traditionally "attractive" female. When the enemies are women, you can bet that they'll be pitted against either Nami or Robin. If someone is seen hurting a woman, you can bet it was an antagonist. One of the rare counter-examples I can think of is when Luffy "hit" Vivi in Alabasta. When the male Straw Hats have to fight women, it won't be a "sexy" character like Monet, it will be someone like *spoilers for this part of the story* Big Mom.

That’s definitely it. I think Zoro represents Oda here. He wants to convey as a man that not wanting to be violent with a woman doesn’t mean you think of women as inferior. And the same goes for drawing violence, for him. And like Zoro, he’s telling us to not let ourselves get too comfortable with the assumption that he’ll never draw something shocking happening to a woman even if the situation calls for it.

If I was to hazard (pun intended) a guess, those pointy weapons that Monet uses are akin to "Moribashi." Those are plating chopsticks. They tend to have a natural handle, then transition to metal ends with fine points for delicate plating work. These are mostly used in Kaiseki cuisine and also in the preparation of Agemono, or "deep fried foods" like tempura, ebi-fry, croquettes and tonkatsu.

I know he aint reading comments on youtube but i have to say something.. im watching him since first kakarot reactions... dude was great... fun and carismatic. Im 32 year old men with wife and a kid and a stable job and really great life. And i love watching this guy... i watched from the first OP episode. I dont know really why... maybe cause i feel like watching from the start with someone is fun....but latest reactions let me down... i dont mean no disrespect but you become 'smartas' who is analysing every little thing which dont matter and dont pay attention to the real story and progression. Every 2,3rd line is sumting smartass why this why that. I wish you could go back to the old way, reacting with curiosity and good will. Zoro fought a bunch of women at Whiskey Peak at the very least, so I don't think that's what was going on here. Tashigi just has this idea in her head because she's ignoring what Zoro said about Kuina for some reason I've always struggled to understand.
