To clarify Steph, in the manga it was revealed he had Conqueror’s Haki when he fought with Luffy against Kaido. After Zoro attacked Kaido with Dead Man’s Game(an attack infused with Conquerors Haki), Kaido said “Don’t tell me you can use conqueror’s haki too” and then acknowledged zoro for inflicting a deep wound on him. Amazing reaction by the way as always 🔥🔥.

That attack was NOT coated in Coq Haki. People can sense Coq Haki during combat Doffy and Luffy did the same thing and they weren’t using coating

Kaido gave an exact description of what was happening; Doffy and Kat had CoC Haki yes, and it was going off during their fights yes, BUT they DID NOT coat themselves with it as you would armament. Only the rare few KNOW how to do that, Zoro was unaware that Asura was a CoC technique.

Chefs kiss!! Sanji's fighting style is just so wavy. The moment he activated Ifrit Jambe, Queen stood no chance. The way his blue flame lit up the whole place was just so epic. Bringing together the emotions, action, and otherworldly animation was just beautiful. So glad he got his shine!

The only two moments where Zoro actually uses conquerors haki is when he gives Kaido another scar and right now in this episode. The filler one was all the way at the beginning of the raid when he knocks random people out fighting over booze i think. I don't think Zoro can control it yet though so it would be cool to see Luffy maybe train Zoro to use conqueror haki

Swords can turn black when imbued with Haki. And in the scene Gyukimaru vs. Zoro where Gyukimaru comments that Shusui was forged through his battles by Ryuma and Zoro links this to his battle with Pika when he too turns his katanas black. So this would be an assumption that The black color of Mihawk's sword is because he covered it with haki and went through countless fights until the sword turned completely black just like Shusui Ryuma's katana.

I like when you know a good ep is coming. Kids be watching and just randomly a good ep will happen and they don't know why. When you understand the industry you notice the bad ep bad ep bad ep ok there saving up for something then bam. Sadly some adults trash on animation as if its a flick of the finger to do good camera angles off the dome. Even if you are good at it you still need to storyboard, throw ideas around, use CGI to map out rooms, draw backgrounds sound etc. People on reddit were trashing the episode and I'm like WTF. To be fair they had good points like it would be more impactful if they followed more of what the comic did but animation is for adapting not shot for shot. I think it was fine. We get so much peak we start asking for perfection but humans are doing this stuff. Back in the day if you look at animation on a tv series and showed a kid this stuff they would flip. It was possible back in the day but not enough were expected to watch for you to waste all the time animating (with a few less effects) yuyu hakusho had animated eps that were smooth like this sometimes.

To answer your question about zoros conquerors haki. This is the first and only time he has used it in Canon to the Manga. He's unaware he has it until kaido suggest it on the roof. This was his awakening which was symbolized by the color change in aura

Ok here is my theory about kuinas death. She killed herself after the realization that she could never be the world’s greatest swordsman. That’s why her father is so cold about the entire situation. He knew what really happened and can only really blame himself. That or he did it which I just find a little to gruesome. The whole kuina death has an ominous tone around it idk why. So we know Zoro was born in shimotsuki village. We now know the old man's last name was shimotsuki and his granddaughter is kuina. We knew the last name of the blue haired samurai that looks like zoro that helped yamato is shimotsuki. We also know the "god of death" samurai ryuma (the zombie)'s last name is shimotsuki. What can this mean?
