Fun fact that I learned years ago: "Joy Boy" is usually written in katakana (Which is the alphabet the Japanese use when using other languages such as English) but if you take the kanji for the word Joy, and the kanji for the word Boy, one way it can be pronounced is "Kaidou" which is why King may have thought Kaidou was Joy Boy.

Kaido is an example of Luffy gone wrong. He had similar dreams and aspirations as Luffy, but the world made him bitter and hateful. He then became the terror we know today. While Kaido has endured the violence of the world, he's always taken that in and it's slowly turned him violent. And Luffy takes similar violence on just like Kaido did, but it bounces off of Luffy and he stays true to his ideals.

"does kaido's haki get stronger when he's drunk?" sort of? haki is related to your willpower, so the more your will aligns with your actions, the more you believe in what you're doing, the stronger it gets. so, since what kaido wants is to have fun in a fight, the closer luffy gets to his level and the more drunk kaido is, the stronger kaido's haki becomes.
