Im half way throught my Necrons from Indomitus box. Your guide videos from few months back were my inspiration so I'm doing exactly the same scheme :D Doing almost twice as many models in next to no time is mindblowing. Still I have a lot to thank for becouse - slowly but surely - I'm painting my batch and as for my first army I'm am extremely happy with results. Great video! I think I really have to try something like this as lately I'm terrible at finding time to paint. I need to start Friday after work and basically just go until 8am on Saturday...don't have time to do a 24hr but I think I can manage 12-14 hrs. Hey there, a quick question about paints. You mentioned Runelord Brass being a new paint, and I can see it's in a pot with a white lid and is labeled as a base paint. I have a slightly older pot of Runelord Brass. No white lid and it's labelled as a layer paint. Are these the same paint? Will I be better off buying the new Runelord Brass over the one I have if I intend to basecoat with it?

Hey Cinder! Yes they are a different paint, but I believe they are the same pigment but with a different level of rigment to medium ratio, hus making it a thicker base paint. I haven't used the old one but for $6 I'd recommend trying the new one for basecoating I'm absolutely loving it.

My Necrons got the following threatment for a 24 Hour job. - prime in leadbelcher - (optional) wash with the new cryptech armorshade but not too wet - when totally dry i wash it with black templar (contrast) with water (yeah they say you shouldnt but there is no issue with that to be honest) - i use interference colors by golden acrylics fluid colors for a "colorshift" effect on all bigger armor parts... - i use reflex green to enhance the highlight and a clear red on the top part to give a transition from red to blueish/green metallic ending in a green highlight. - last but not least i bring up the details with a metallic pigment which are just more direct than just using paint what do you think ?

Yeah warrios can only be led by heroes of their factions, and factions are bound by the alliance matrix which defines a few parameters :) for lower tier alliances, yellow and red you need a hero of VALOUR (that's their rank) to lead each faction.

The Cryptek Armourshade Gloss looks ridiculously glossy compared to any other non gloss wash. I've had to throw it out and just use nuln oil normal. Also don't see why you didn't just dry brush over after wash to catch the edges and tops if this is speed painting, edge highlighting takes forever.
