Yeah I'm not too sure what happened with the audio when I was filming this video. Excuse my lack of video production skills lol!! I did that wire patch about 4 years ago and I believe I put waterproof wire connectors and then wrapped it in the electrical tape... I can't remember to be honest but that's a decent way to do it. If I were doing it today I would use the waterproof wire connectors and then seal it with a grease-filled capsule.

Awesome job! Do you lay any Fertilizer prior to laying the sod? If no, how soon after sod install would you provide nutrients? I am Day 7 post Zoysia sod install and curious If I need to add fertilizer soon to prevent from dying.

You can use sod starter to help with root growth. You don't need it but it can help. We didn't lay any in this video. After laying I'd wait at least a month to 3 months, just make sure to apply the fertilizer during the growing season, to spread it evenly, and to water the sod thoroughly after fertilizing to help the nutrients penetrate the soil and reduce the risk of burning.
