Appreciate her sharing her journey. So many people think all these ladies have been competing since they were teens and earlier when the truth is some of them find pageantry as young women. I wish she would have shared that in between her first effort and her second she returned to school and completed her education. I think her educational challenges and her not winning on her first try helped her develop into the woman who could not only win Miss South Africa but also Miss Universe. A lovely woman and a gracious Miss Universe.

Have you ever heard the saying "adapt or die"? Interest in pageants is on the decline in the west. In order to promote the pageant, the MUO is expanding to other media outlets in order to increase interest and ultimately viewership. Eyes are not just on the television screen any longer, they're on computer and phone screens primarily. To be successful a show has to go where the viewers are and many pageant enthusiasts around the world are here on KZbin.
