Thanks, this is helpful. I'm definitely getting one. I've has an Arc Blast for three years and have been very happy with it. Put about 4,000 miles on it (AT 2018, among others). I want to step up my game a notch and enter into the ultralight world.

This is good info forme, thank you. I'm going to try your 4 day food bag list next time out. I never have been able to get my food right, and always carry way more food than I need and end up with more than another full day of food when I get back to the car.

This was a very good video on the Nero. My base weight is 14 pounds so I would be about 2 pounds too heavy. I did forward this to my friend who is looking at the Nero soon.

You have one of the new Nero's. Mine is one of the 1st ones without the clips for the top. Mine has the permanent attached sliders for the cordage which likes to twist the cordage when opening or closing the top. I get all my gear in it and still have a lot of room for food and a luxury item. For the last 60 plus years here in Florida my preferred camping is with a Hammock Because of that my rain fly starts inside and after the 1st night it's rolled up ( snake skins ) and put in the mesh front pocket from then on. Any wet stuff is keep outside of the pack and only dry items inside. The basic pack weight is normally between 6 to 7 pounds. I also added on the two shoulder pouches and two hip belt pouches for the quick to get items.

My 3 season base weight ranged from 7.5 to 8.75 lbs so answer is yes. I do have padded belt w/pockets and either F.U.P.A or Multi Pack so tons of space.
