For me is easier if you grab the core, pause the game and continue with the core on the other side already. like teleporting the core.

its alot easier to do this on a physical ds as you have access to 2 styluses so you can click from one end to another and the object held by the forceps can be teleported over to the tray.

You can do the same thing with a Tablet or phone .

You can do that too, but I don't have a lot of trouble getting past the spores.

strange, I don't remember Bythos 'exploding' so fast. I got XS on X5 on my first try.

You lost quite a bit of vitals and Bythos regenerates.

For some reason, I've always found Bythos to be pretty easy, but I may be biased by the fact that I first beat X-5 while on a moving train.

I did it with one hand just fine, but the two stylus trick worked well.

I have only beaten X-1 mission. I don't want fight against Bythos. I got stuck in hard mode ;-;
