2:24 It's amazing how none of the FF6 version other than three 16-bit original are able to replicate the smooth BGM transition of the original. All subsequent versions just abruptly start the next musical movement after the defeat of each final boss tiers. Whereas in the original even after defeat the game will allow the prior musical movement to play out before smoothly transition to the next movement.

SNES is the best version. Pixel remaster sucks, GBA version sucks unless you use the romhack to restore SNES music and most of the sound and have a flashcart for GBA. It also reduces a lot of lag

The whole thing is based on Dante's journey from Hell to God Himself in the Divine Comedy, starting with the story's depiction of Satan, and then features twisted reimaginings of the concept of Purgatory, Michelangelo's Pieta, and the famous image of God reaching out to Adam.

I've always loved the GBA version solely cause of the drums and bass, that calm segment in Dancing Mad Kefka's segment feels so fucking good with those GBA drum smashes
