Fuma Shurikens + Bahamut + Darkness & then Jump with Kain made this battle a breeze. All of my characters were level 60 to 63. Those 3 things alone are 9,000 to 9,999 damage. Zeromus has 150,000 HP. So if you can utilize approximately 15 of those 3 attacks, he will be down in no time. I also had my characters defend every time he started shaking to prepare for that brutal big bang attack. Casting slow on him after he uses black hole and then haste on all my characters helped as well. I did not have dualcast, but I did not have any problem. Good luck to everyone!

+Zharkov89 If this were 6, then I'd say use Life 3. So, I don't know. Your best bet is to have life 2 ready whenever you need it.

I got stuck with a pre-owned save file at the save point 2 floors above. He had beaten all the lunar bosses, but i'm guessing put his augments on the characters who you cant bring. Because all of them were used unoptimized, though thankfully not all stupid. My problem came with they also SOLD most of the weapons/armor from before, so I was stuck with one weapon set/armor each.

Mine were 52-47 I still won, only Kain survived and dealt the final blow onto him Even though Edge didn't done a dart onto the bitch Rosa and Rydia has 2 best spells either BAHAMUT AND WHITE so as asura for god's sake lol And my hands always sweat when Zeromus cast the Beginning of the Universe: THE BIG BANG

Sounds bout right, still tho, hes tougher in my opinion then any of his past iterations. However, i will say something strange happened in my new game+ file. He spammed big bang for me 3 times in a row, with very little down time in between each one, With big bang being like 3x strong as the 2d classic big bangs (old 2d games it did maybe 1.5k-2k wereas 3d versions 3-4k). Has it ever happened to anyone else?

The amount of augments you get there depend on how many augments you gave to... Fusoya, I believe. You'll need to give him 2 augments to get your hands on Phoenix.

So the game has been crazy overtuned to compensate for augments, with Zeromus being the most buffed of all, except the augments are totally optional, missable, and not at all intuitive to get? You have to know who needs which augment, who is gonna leave the party, and when to make sure you get the things that are apparently required to beat the game. How are you supposed to beat this guy if you, just as an example, grinded to 75-ish and only have counter and bless because you didn't follow an augment guide?

You need to give Fusoya at least one Augment before he leaves the party for good. Giving him a second also gives you Phoenix that revives the rest of the party when the equipped person dies, at the cost of the rest of their MP. (Basically, they REALLY want you to have augments to burn on the last rotated guy).

Augments. The DS version is very very different, it's a completely rebalanced game from the GBA/PSP versions. It's a lot harder (you can easily beat Zeromus at the mid 50's in every 2D version, this video has low *70's* and Big Bang can STILL one shot them), you don't get to swap characters at the end with the rest of the living party, but to counter these, departing characters or other NPC's give you augments to pass on unique commands or extra passives. Some of these you need to dump lesser Augments on party members you know will leave so they give you more abilities so you can better use them on the final endgame party. Basically, from my experience, play *any* of the other versions before DS. Then, only when you beat it, give DS a try when you know when the non-final party members leave so you can get more abilities to use on the final party. Quick example: Phoenix. When Big Bang first wrecks the party, one of the KO'd party members has a passive to drain all their remaining MP to forcibly revive everyone else instantly. How do you get it? Fusoya needs to have been given two augments before he permanently leaves and Kain rejoins the final party.

As far as I know, its in Baron Castle. Where exactly I don't remember. you need to talk to an npc in the Castle and you should get it (It would be available late game so not sure "when" so before the final dungeon might be your best bet?)

After defeating CPU, go to Baron Castle, walk into the infirmary and go to the stair on the right, a guard will be there and will give you the +50% HP augment.

UltimateGamer621 you can do it. it was tough as balls but i managed without any of these augments. I didn't know their existence until I was too far in the game. and even with a 90+ party with everyone on defend he would nearly wipe my entire party with big bang. i managed it with a curaja setup just as soon as he was done casting. I ressed the old fashioned way. it's possible, just incredibly hard. one of my favorite boss battles.
