Teams that actually scare me in the playoffs as a Nuggets fan: Phoenix, the lethal shooting ability, experience, and one of the few teams that grind it out at the end of games equally with Denver. Catch them at the right time for them and the wrong time for us, and I can see them taking a series in 7. The Bucks, Always tough games, 3-3 split over the last 6, Giannis is a man that exists. Giannis plays up against the Nugs with significantly better stats than his regular averages. As far as Joker and Blue Arrow still in the game in garbage time. With the three really crappy losses in a row going into the All-Star break, there was a ton of talk about the team not having the guts to play it out in the post season. There has been a push from within, to start feeling playoff feel in games. Closeouts, step on their necks and really make sure no one comes back. A strong feeling of no mercy, win and make it stick. And this has been backed up by the knot at the top of the west all playing at a similar level. Going into the AS break the Nuggets were 1.5 games out of 1st in the west. They have gone 8-1 since to still be half a game out. Nobody can mess around with homecourt on the line right now.

Jamal Murray is trying to get into playoff game shape. He wants 34-38 minutes a night. Jokic being put back in the game is more of a head scratcher but he was also only in for another minute and a half when he went back in.

Coach Malone sometimes gets scared and puts Jokic back in even when it feels unnecessary. Jokic didn't play at all in the 4th quarter until those last 3 minutes. Malone put him back in because the lead went from 34 -> 15. As a fan sometimes I want Jokic to dominate the stat sheet more but the dude don't care. If he could, he would probably would chill in the last two weeks of the season like last year and let someone else take MVP.

I appreciate your reaction. But like some of the people who watched the whole game, the Jazz was making a run around last part of 3rd to 4th qtr that's why they brought Jokic back. The bench was not at their best and it was a mess to Jokic has to step back in to bring order for the people on the court. And right after they were all in the groove again, Jokic was out of the game till the end.

There could be multiple reasons jokic is in the game.... For example he runs after games to get more cardio...jokic works his tail off purposely. They could be getting them use to playing with the twos and threes. Maybe it's because they love the game so much they wanna keep playing. He could be stat padding but knowing jokic as the Peyton Manning of the NBA, it's probably a tactic thing with him and he also doesn't seem to care about stats... Just saying.

I believe you would change your mind about Jokic if you watched the full match instead of coming to misinformed conclusions based on a highlight reel. I believe you would come to a different conclusion if you focused your attention on Jokic during the whole match. What I believe is that in some matches Jokic believes he must do a lot of everything for the team to win, in games like these - he's just there to glue the team up when situation on the court is wobbly.
