to copy your apps to your sd card you follow this steps go to 1.setting 2.storage 3.phone 4.used space 5.apps from there you go to the app you want to transfer at the top right corner you will see something like this (i) not the same but it is as close as I can put it anyways click on it and it will open another window if it says change storage from there you can choose the sd card only apps that you have download can you transfer to the sd card I check and the apps that come with the phone are not transferable can you make a video of this

As a non rooted user , You can only move parts of an app to SD if the developer has allowed it in his code. Apps that depend on notifications, widgets, wakelocks or payPerClick ads aren't likely to be able to move. As I stated in this thread earlier (I believe), if you're phone is rooted, you can use an app that 'tricks' the non-movable app into thinking it's still in internal storage by using a pointer, or type of Linux shortcut. There are many such apps. Of course, having root access also allows you to delete all those manufacturer installed bloatware apps that slow down your phone. You won't get the space back from system apps due to allocations , or partitioning, but you will notice a speed difference. Just be very careful, delete the wrong one and you'll be on a landline tonight.

just curious what benefit you'd get from copying apps to the SD card.Also when actually moving apps to SD; only a portion of the app goes. No, moving apps to a different device requires the apk file. If you want a really great tool, though older versions of ES are great, get 3C toolbox. of course you must be rooted to do anything worthwhile, but then I cant imagine owning a non rooted one

If your device doesn't have a lot of storage it does benefit your internal storage to at least move some information over, maybe not all! but anything helps if you have a device with only get 8 gigs of internal storage or 16 gigs of internal storage without an SD card slot for expandable memory. I don't root my devices. As a reviewer I don't have enough money to keep all my devices and run a channel, so I sell them to bring in more money for other devices to be reviewed, so no rooting going on here for others they can root their devices and do it different ways like you're talking about, I appreciate your time and thanks for watching and your information hopefully you're subscribed Peace

I do understand why many don't root. restricting user access is a safeguard in Linux and Android that prevents folks from 'bricking' their phones (making them unbootable). It also voids warranty and prevents OTA manufacturer updates requiring manual download. There are so many great root only apps though. For instance, I don't think I"ve seen an ad on the Internet or in an app for over a decade now unless it was one I allowed. Two apps I would highly recommend even for stock users are Titanium Backup (you can backup your stock phone, then root it without fear of damaging or losing anything. Greenify is a great app for rooted and non alike. It will hibernate apps and prevent background battery drain and processor use in many apps. It can speed up an overcrowded phone and will greatly increase battery life. (for those that don't know, DON"T use taskkillers in Android. The OS is an excellent memory manager on its own and using taskkilers will actually take MORE processor and battery to restart the apps . There I go off on a 'geekTangent again, sorry. I will subscribe to your channel and throw a few viewers your way. If you ever need a guest tech writer let me know. Steven thanks and I appreciate the information, it's amazing how many folks I meet here that educate me in so many ways, there are areas that I know personally know alot and other areas that I barely scratch the surface on. So thank you my friend. I will definitely keep you in mind. Thanks for subscribing Peace

myproject13 you are very welcome. I'm actually just getting to know Linux now because of my interest in Android. What irritates me is that in college it was only given a passing mention. I went to school in WA State, home of 'king' Gates, so go figure. I like your videos. You do good reviews. They come off as honest, like from the guy down the street, rather than an affiliate marketer trying to sell me something. Keep it up

Steven Peterson thanks for the compliment and support, that's my goal as a KZbinr Reviewer. I'm a techy at heart who doesn't know everything but always willing to learn, and to have fun with it. I'll won't stop educating myself and others on this journey.. But staying true to myself and others 👍✌️

so if I move and app to my sd card using this method. I would have more space on my internal memory to get more apps?
@myproject13ttt8 жыл бұрын
hi! as long as the app can be moved that free's up space internally, so YES, some apps can't be moved, but mess around with them and see which ones can? let me know and hopefully your Subscribed, thanks and PEACE

So if i download boom beach can I transfer it over and not have to worry about it draining my phones integral mem?
@myproject13ttt9 жыл бұрын
Don't know what Boom Beach is? Everything that has to do with the app, when transferred over to sd card should! Go over to sd card,this this allows your memory internally to have more memory. Please subscribe and thumbs up, thanks anything else let me know. Peace
@dreday63209 жыл бұрын
So there is no way to actually move it right. You can only copy and paste????
@myproject13ttt9 жыл бұрын
This is just the copy and paste process [made this specific video for another subscriber who wanted to know the copy and paste process] in ES Explorer File App, there is the option to move instead of copy and paste. On the ES Explorer File App select what to want to move by touching the the little 3 dots-menu! in the right hand side corner, a list of options will appear choose move to.. This should move the app if it is play store/or third party app! Will not move stock or Device bloatware apps unless it allows you in the Settings/App/All choose a stock app! here you'll see if it says move to SD card. Cool, thanks

After u copy and paste is it alright if I deleted the original copy and it'll still be on my external ad card?
@myproject13ttt8 жыл бұрын
if your asking them yes it will stay there! because your copying so there's two so if you delete one! one will stay no matter where it is at external or internal✌

Can you copy and paste software updates also?
@myproject13ttt9 жыл бұрын
To be honest I don't know but I don't think you can? A software update I'm pretty sure it's integrated into the original software of the device and so this would mean it wouldn't perform within the integrity of itself, if that makes sense.
@nickburton619 жыл бұрын
So basically it wouldn't perform right if I transferred files to SD card that are software updates?
@myproject13ttt9 жыл бұрын
I personally don't think it is transfer possible at all, you can transfer apps, media files, documents, etc. but not an actual software update such as kit kit,lollipop etc. That goes right into to the original software of your device. Unless you can find something different let me know? If rooted maybe, but even then?

Should be as easy as using your USB cable from your smartphone to your computer direct... This apartment phone should show up on your computer screen open that file up and transfer.

myproject13 .. it's not. there is no option to transfer picture from internal memory to SD card. I am running out of space on my phone and it's driving me crazy. my phone won't work right because of that. but thank you for your reply. I noticed there were a few on here that had the same question. again thank you for your response.
@myproject13ttt4 жыл бұрын
@@brandyturner643 you'll have to transfer the information to your computer not the SD card. Don't you have a file app? Within their you should be able to transfer by selecting the files you want to transfer over to you SD files...

myproject13 .. OK. but I don't see a place to do that. I am trying most of everything.
@stevenpeterson85968 жыл бұрын
oh I thought you meant just copy the app over. However if the app runs, it's still installed in the device without permissions being set. The developer decides if an apps data is permitted to move. Google also has dropped much support for apps to SD. To actually move an app on a device that doesn't permit it, you need root access to link a 'shortcut'from device to a special folder on your sd. and after Android 5 you need to edit the build. prop file. Linux (Android is a variety of it) is all about permissions. Sorry to get all geeky here, but I do enjoy helping folks get the most out of their devices. Oh BTW, ztes are mostly junk (I'm typing on one now) The only real way to
