I have no idea why any Hong Kongers would want to immigrate to Canada, a country that is cold and highly taxed? The only livable but an extremely expensive city is Vancouver. Don't forget that you also have to deal with the ugliness of racial discrimination. Plum trees all look the same everywhere in the world!

I agree you. Hong Kong is very easy to earn money, lower tax, and Convenient. Diverse food options. I immigrated to Canada and bought the cheapest furniture from IKEA. Many people use second-hand furniture and live a life without freedom. It feels so poor. Hong Kong is a civilized and wealthy society.

There are billions of people living in a place you may think is too cold for you, while most of the place has a higher livability ranking than HK. So it really depends.

@Kalgarian Well, if your relatives want to live in a country that has 10-month long winters with temperatures of -50°C. Your relatives in Hong Kong are welcome to try their luck in immigrating to Canada, which is now closing its doors, particularly to East Indians and Chinese. Please also warn them that there is a piece of land being occupied by the Klu Klux Klan just north of Calgary. If you don't believe me, go there for a visit by yourself.

@@COLLAPSE.of.US.ECONOMY Well, 10-month winter with commonly down to -50, that is harsh, but I do believe 95% Canadian are living in a far better places. You have many choices apart from these extreme places and Vancouver.

If you or your house hold ability to earn money is above the average in Hong Kong, then you will find that you will be making less here in Canada due to very high taxes.
