slow week at work so rewatched a lot of the old videos but just LOVED these two episodes on Lot 10 Hutong!! Been to most of the stalls over the last decade but will try the new suggestions. Even better than the food was the history of the entire Lot 10 Hutong and the individual stalls. OUTSTANDING video and research went into this production! THANKS!

Haha, the stuff you glean from Master Lee's videos: 7:42 I always thought the 3 Kan Chong name referred to the three forms of pork in the dish (meatball, sausage, and the mince). I'm an idiot 🤦♂ Nice of you to feature non-Msian stalls too. (I remember having quite a nice German pork knuckle back there in 2016...🤔or was it Austrian, can't remember 100%)
@malaysiafood328 Жыл бұрын
Can’t blame u coz no one could have thought the name was referred to the premises than the dish itself if we didn’t trace the history

6:05 soong kee beef balls were disappointing on the 28th December 2023. I remembered its balls had more bite in the past at the main shop. It felt soft when chewed now and the soup was bland.

DOME cafe @ Lot 10 used to be my hang out spot back in the early 2000. Thankfully, it didn't cost me an arm and a leg as I was obligated to pay for extra 2 person 😂 So much has changed since then....jesus christ, that's one helluva mouth-watering ABC if I do say so myself..

I quite like Song Kee's beef ball noodles, a little different from Li Foong in my opinion. During my time in KL, the only SongKee is located in Jalan Tun H.S. Lee, if my memory serves me right. Quite fond of the beef ball there, but one of the staff's attitude really pissed me off.

Your pronunciation of 牛 in Cantonese sounds like 'aw' while the stall owner (and I) will say 'ngau'. I wonder why?

Compare the price to the open air street food, it's pricy, Once you compare it to the food court in Pavillion Bukit Bintang, it is reasonable., What about the food prices in Genting Highland? Oh no, 😮 I prefer to eat in the Hutong, Iot 10, 😋😋

The Sam Kan Chong Stall in HUtang is NOT a branch of the stall in win heng seng. I know cos I talked to the old man aka the original stall owner in win heng seng. He was surprised when I asked him how his Hutang stall business was in lot 10! He said he never opened any branch in his life....and that the lot 10 stall is a competitor using the 'Jalan Imbi' name to make people think its the branch.
