Yes after 15 years your chances of dying from smoke related diseases and illnesses are the same as someone who has never smoked in their life but being as healthy as you once where or as someone who has never smoked i highly doubt it. Of course this also depends on how long you've been smoking. So yes you can make a great recovery but the same as someone who has never smoked in their life, no that won't happen. There will still be some damage even if it's minuscule.
