@@lalagirl211 that's actually not true. In Islam, you're allowed to wear makeup in front of certain males and all women. I wore hijab my whole life as it was pushed on me by my parents. I went through hell as I was bullied throughout my educational career and I never made friends. I was depressed and hated my life. After I got married, I took my hijab off and I finally found myself to be happier. I have now found love for islam and I believe that I am now more of a muslim than I ever was before. I would like to go back to wearing a hijab in the near future Insh'Alllah! Please, anyone reading this, make dua for me. Jazak'Allah.

Take it one step at a time first dress modestly, and then maybe wear the turban, and then you can start wearing the hijab during Ramadan, and inshaAllah after all of these steps you will be a full time hijabi. Remember to make lots of dua so that Allah can make it easy for you. And always keep in mind that you want to wear the hijab in order to please Allah and you never know when death will come.

The first time I went to the US at the age of 22, I was walking with my friend to buy food, she's Muslim too but didn't wear the hijab. It wasnt so crowded but this gentleman decided to excuse himself and walk in between us, turned around and greeted salaam to me alone. I felt a huge sense of the Islamic brotherhood 🥰

When I made a video expressing my thoughts without bashing or being even slightly rude about anyone taking their hijab off, a blogger who removed her hijab around a year ago BLOCKED me. I didn’t even mention her name, but I think there is a lot of insecurity in that decision and as shocked as I was (I mean I had followed her from day one and supported her regularly engaged with her content etc) I realised that to take someone else’s opinion as hateful and personally as she did, reflects much greater on her than on me. I applaud the was your sole about this, it is NOT easy to discuss without a few fragile ego being hurt! This was so refreshing to listen to and well articulated. It’s so difficult to express a moral opinion without being shunned as “haram police” and people refuse to listen to the voice of morality as it often makes them feel judged. I think we need to be clear on what our religion has recommended and expects of it’s followers and not blur the lines as it doesn’t change from person to person. The message is one and clear but people have interpreted it in their own way to justify their actions and then shying away from the responsibility they have towards the public as a person of significant importance. You made your stance very clear without sugar coating the truth and I really respect that. Obviously we have to respect one another and not alienate anyone over the choices they make, but it’s also important to pray that whatever journey they’re on, they find their way back to the straight path 🤲🏻❤️

Assalam alaikum everybody. From a Muslim perspective: Whom are the ex-hijabi KZbinrs trying to appeal to? Why? Why have they turned their backs on their sisters? I feel saddened and a little betrayed. I feel like sisters are being pummelled from all sides (politics, media, even from inside our communities) and we've lost some of our allies. Hijab isn't just a fashion statement or a piece of clothing; it's a piece of identity. How can they cast it off so easily? But from a marketing perspective. Social media and youtube is becoming increasingly fragmented. It would seem that youtubers who've taken off their hijab are simply trying to appeal to a different niche than the one they had. So yes, I totally agree with sister Zukhreat. There are some who have taken it off, but hijabis online are very much still strong Alhamdulillah. We should continue to strongly support each other insha Allah.

Hijab isn't a fashion statement and to be honest, I don't wear hijab but I dress quite modestly, the hijab is a way to showcase your religion and be closer to Allah SWT. When I do choose to wear the hijab, it'll be for my religion and deen, for my life and death and not for anybody else but Allah SWT.

I had exactly the same thoughts about the youtuber taking it off coming as a shock as she completely covered her hair too. Personally I would feel naked without my hijaab and I feel nowadays it is so much easier to wear a hijaab, there is so much variety out their in the types of hijaabi available:colours, materials etc , much more modest clothing available, hijaabis are more widely accepted: seen on adverts, billboards, working for brands. I’ve never found my hijaab a struggle, I get if you live in France or something but I feel there’s so much acceptance and diversity here

Great point regarding the majority who still embrace it, rock it and go after their dreams! Allah swt is the ultimate planner, but we also have control over tomorrow's narrative. @zaynabdaniyal43164 жыл бұрын
But heartbreaking how? Personally i been a hijabi since I was 14,im 22 now. It was my choice to wear it and I have to admit when I seen the likes of people such as dina tokio, her sister and even her mother and amena taking the hijab off at first I felt angry and why wouild someone want to do that. But after I realised why am I angry and why am I judging others or disappointed that others are doing these kind of things? Everyone has there own imperfections, I wear hijab and abaya and I have to admit even with that I still miss my salah, I still get lazy because I am a mum and a wife now, I've had times where I've wanted to take my hijab off even though I love it, every single girl who wears hijab gets those feelings. My point is just because she took her hijab off doesn't make her any less Muslim that the rest of us sister. Hijab isn't just about covering the hair it's about how we dress and act and speak also. And atleast she is not doing it behind closed doors like a lot of women do now a days, wearing the hijab at certain times then removing it behind closed doors, just because we see a women wearing hijab or abaya or niqab doesn't mean they are better than someone with out as we don't know truly what people do behind closed doors, it's not for us to judge that's why it's only for Allah to judge because we don't truly know what goes on with other people. No matter how disappointed you or anyone feels she's made her decision and she's not going to change it so there's no point for all the hate and disappointment towards her we should just make dua. But I really wish people would understand that just because a woman wears a hijab it doesn't mean she is "better" than someone without it, you don't know what goes on in people's personal life.

I I'm in no way attacking Ameena...I was her loyal subscriber and I watched her content a lot...I understand that she has her reasons as to why she did that...I consider the Hijab a very important aspect of my life...its like the story of candy on the floor, one wrapped and one unwrapped...given the option everyone chose the wrapped candy....that should show you how precious our Hijabs make us...Ya Allah guide us all.

@@phatmerally8105 no I never said you was attacking her, I just meant at the end of the day I have a lot of respect for her doing that so openly expecially in the society she is with alot of followers, we have to understand that now a days the hijab is forced upon alot of young girls, or even if a girl wants to take her hijab of she can't because of the fear of "what are people going to think or say" so they keep it on to please people rather than for the right reason to please Allah and out of fear of Allah. so even though I was shocked at first myself and was angry how can someone just take off there scarf I have respect for her, making such a big decision Infront of such a big audience knowing very well she will get attacked for it(I'm not saying you, I seen a lot of vile comments on her video) in my honest opinion I generally do not see the point of someone being "forced" to wear hijab or keep wearing the hijab to please people as there isn't a point to it if your just wearing it out of fear of what people will think if you take it off, that's wearing it for the wrong reason, in my opinion she has probably been wanting to take it off for a long time but hasn't out of fear of what people would say and loosing followers, I understand people being angry but I don't even understand why people have unfollwed her, we should try and help people instead of judging and attacking anf as I said make dua for the person. As I said I'm a hijabi myself, I am not defending amenas decision to take it off or say what she is done is right, I've only said it's her choice, yes Islam says we have to wear it but even in Islam nobody is forced to do anything we are allowed to choose what's right and wrong out of our own free will. Plus my main point of my comment was to say that just because a girl is wearing a hijab doesn't mean she is better than a Muslim girl without a hijab, only Allah knows what goes on behind closed doors and hijab isn't just about covering the hair it's about the way we act speak and what we wear also, even in our days even girls who do wear hijab they are not wearing it with the proper dress, amena wasn't really wearing the "proper" hijab to begin with,if you think about it as you said the story about the wrapped and unwrapped candy, these girls are wearing hijab with very tight clothing with there whole body shape on display, is that still "wrapped" with the whole body shape and breast size on display? In our lifetime there is lots of tests which will either bring us closer to Allah or take us away, out of our own choices and free will. Unfortunately now a days this is what happens when hijabis find fame, and then they pass it onto there followers who are young girls and it just goes on.

@@zaynabdaniyal4316 sister some of the things you said are not Islamically correct. You said it's better for someone to take off the hijab instead of wearing it in some places and taking it off in other places. That statement is incorrect because since the hijab is mandatory the one that has it on 50% of the time only collects sins when the hijab is off. While the one that has it off 100% of the time collects sins all the time. And in terms of being an influencer the burden is greater as their actions will influence other girls and they will share in the sins of those whom they've influenced. That's why in Islam a sin done in secret is better than one advertised in public. May Allah guide us all.

I loved how you want to inspire people to wear hijab and shine a light on all the people who do wear it and it has not stopped them from achieving their goals and following their dreams. However, I also think it’s not fair to call out a specific person and basically judge their choices. It is their decision and you have to respect it. I would recommend in the future just showcasing the positive aspects and not bashing on others. It really takes away from the main message. Even if that was not your intent. And even if that is what inspired you to make this video, you don’t need to call them out

I appreciate your message, however I need to add that I did not call anyone out as I mentioned no names what so ever! my main message has been clear and has no hate or bashing of anyone, I know its a sensitive topic but I'm sorry I will not sugar coat the subject. This topic is very close to my heart and I feel I addressed it in the best way I could by still being true to who I am.

Great video! You’ve done a better job of explaining reasons why those influencers have removed their hijab than they have! Their videos make no sense to me. I’ve watched them hoping to learn why they made a huge decision and learnt nothing.

Love this. I took my scarf off many years ago, reluctantly i think. One day I saw someone who wore a scarf in the career I am in. It motivated me so much and I carried on working hard in that field because I knew I was okay to wear it, I didnt need to be afraid. InshaAllah I will get back to wearing it again, I desperately want to. It means alot to me even though I dont wear it right now.

I’m a traditional/retrograde Catholic, and currently wear a mantilla when I attend Mass and Eucharistic Adoration. However, over the past several months especially I’ve been thinking about mostly covering my hair all of the time due to trying to even more imitate the modesty (and beauty) of Our Blessed Mother. Obviously my reasons for veiling as a Catholic are different from that of a Muslim woman, Jewish woman, etc. I think it’s awesome that you embrace covering your hair! Blessings! 🙏🏻 *Edit: I’ve been a sub for a long time and love your channel! 😊

It’s really important to realize something about what you said; that one of the reasons could be that they took their hijabs off because of their jobs. You’ve just defined (possibly) people who are choosing this dunya over the akhira and that makes me the most upset

I don’t know if you remember this but about 20 years ago (roughly) France banned some forms of the hijab in classrooms and other public contexts. I think at that time the purpose of the ban was to satisfy two groups, those trying to be aggressive toward terrorism and the far left trying to “elevate Muslim women who were being oppressed”. I must point out that this is how France’s effort was represented in American media at the time. Thankfully the effort fell flat because banning the hijab clearly doesn’t lessen terrorism or help Muslim women. I remember this because your comments remind me of how the social pendulum swings from one side to the other on so many topics. Because of the ever changing attitudes on a variety of issues, we as individuals need to decide on what the core factors of our identity need to be. Doing so serves as a solid psychological foundation for ourselves as well as giving credibility to those who have a presence on social media platforms. There’s nothing wrong with exploring trends but one must take time to consider whether a trend serves them well or is just another effort of others to cash in. I guess my main point is that integrity never goes out of fashion.
