One VERY important thing to remember when it comes to any boss, but specifically Zulrah, is that you kinda have to expect to die a few times to actually learn for yourself. You can watch ALL the videos and it WILL NOT fully prepare for all the movements and memory you need. This is achieved purely through repetition. It took me 10kc at Zulrah just to START to feel comfortable and it's different for all skills levels. Do NOT be afraid to die. Gotta break a few eggs to make an omelette. Cheers and good luck

I had a tough time with this boss when I was just using ring of recoil. Then I got ring of suffering and imbued it and now I hardly ever die to this boss. Sure I take a ton of damage in mage phase but it's way better than before.

Tip for the jad phase: when Zulrah is on the right, pray range first. When Zulrah is on the left pray mage first (when facing south). Also, for prayer swap timing, when you see the mage/range projectile pray the opposite. When you see the mage attack coming pray range. When you see the range attack coming pray mage. If you do this you’ll never get hit

If you are poor like me and don't have a Ring of Suffering with a ton of charges there is a plugin called "Ring of Recoil Notifier" (or something like that) that puts an image on screen whenever yours breaks so you know when its time to put on a new one. Really helpful if you hide your chat and zone out when playing.

No offense, but why would you range it for first diary KC? If you're only going to use one attack style against it the whole time then shouldn't you just mage it? Took me a couple hours but I finally got my 1st KC (really needed for diary). Died way more times than I would like to admit. I killed Zulrah using imbued magic short bow and amethyst arrows (would recommend using Amethyst over rune arrows as they do more damage and do not cost a ton). Also used Serpentine helm to avoid dealing with antivenoms.

Cast the spell on your way to the shrine. With the Timers plugin it will show how long til you can cast the spell again. Cast it whenever possible for extra damage.

It's more straight forward. Less distractions for Prayer/gear Switches and you have more food. It's completely fine for 1kc.

Also, if you cant kill zulrah in first rotation, there is a chance of a surprise jad in the second half rotation. even zulrah helper plugin cant predict the surprise jad. you can hide from zulrah in surprise jad so you dont get hit. there are other youtubers who have showed where to stand when this happens. try to kill zulrah as soon as possible and try not to take it to 2 rotations. should have mentioned this in the video. this is the main reason why many people die to zulrah.

You want to kill this boss as quick as possible because if you cant kill it in first rotation, there is a chance of a surprise jad phase in 2nd rotation and you will either die or use up all your food just trying to survive (or you have to learn the hide and wait for it to end). even zulrah helper plugin cant predict this. its shown in other zulrah youtube guides but not in this video

Ok so it seems this is pretty much impossible to do as an IM unless you're really end-game. Went in with black d'hide, barrow gloves, saradomin helm. The damage is beyond insane. I'm out of food before he's even at 60%. Done it 25 tries now. This is with 95 range. Absolute only phase you take little damage in is green phase, but even then expect to take about 45-70 damage from the snakelings. Blue phase, you're chain chugging food so no damage can be done. He seems to only attack with the one you're not praying in that phase.

@@KaozOSRS So I'm an idiot. I changed it up to rune Xbow with enchanted ruby bolts > enchanted diamond bolts below ~40%... completely changed the game. He was dead by his first Jad phase. Twice in a row. Where with amy bolts, he was still at 60% or so by Jad... For some reason I thought I read somewhere that ench ruby procs didn't work on him.... Skill wasn't the issue, damage output was. And those 4-5 50 dmg hits were huge.

5:18 You don't need to click again on Zulrah when switching prayer, you will still attack it. So you can focus on the prayer switches instead.

I really feel like there should be a showcase kill between "the barest of minimal gear that no one except Kaoz could reasonably kill the boss in" and "let's go boys, here's my usual 500 bil setup" One of these days I'll try to see if I can get consistent Zulrah kills with my 95 magic and 99 all other combat stats, because I tried it at around base 85's, suffered and barely scraped a kill together after days, then tried it again at my current stats and 15m better gear budget, and _suffered EXACTLY as much._ There was literally no difference. What'd really help this guide, and any guides that require prayer flicking, is *telling us what tick the attacks register.* Some bosses it's when the missile hits you, others it's when it's fired, and it's confusing as hell. This is one where gear swaps are particularly deadly, as even with void you're trying to swap two items very quickly, and I find at least 60% of the time when gear swapping only part of the items ACTUALLY SWAP. What is that? It's got to be related to ticks, but no one ever mentions it.

Im following the phases Got decent enough gear Yet I always seem to get it at late 100s HP before I die or have to tele out. Not only is it the longest, but you also need 1600 coins which means you also lose a slot." Especially since chapters allow people to jump from section to section. Granted, i didn't pay full attention to stats outside of recommended melee, so thats on me

@@Red_Actual. tag the healers with the blowpipe individually. shoot the first one, let it come to you, keep prayer switching, and kill it. do this for each of them. when there's only one healer left, let it keep hitting you while you attack jad. your auto-retaliate needs to be off for this. the most difficult part will be prayer switching and shooting the small healers while on mobile. you may want to consider a bluetooth mouse and keyboard for mobile if you are intent on doing more intensive content on it.
