South Africa is one of the few African countries that have kept their traditions that are well over a 1000 years old. And since we barely travel outside SA you will only hear these chants here in SA in High school rugby matches or traditional ceremonies

@@theworkshopwien2063 yes one of the few. Most African countries have adopted Christianity or Islam. And only the underdeveloped villages of those countries keep up old traditions and languages. South Africa being the most developed of the black African countries with a European lifestyle you would expect such traditions to be wiped out but we've kept them alive.

It is easy because these chants are passed down from one generation to another. They are chanted whenever there is a cultural or traditional ceremony. So that is how they get be known by all.

@@BenjaminMoriniereSensei Usuthu Usuthu Usuthu.. Usuthu is regiment of Zulu Warriors. Second lu Usuthu is also a chant. There are various chants chanted. Some are directly directed to King Shaka Zulu himself. In praise of his warriorsship and bravery. And are chants arouse the spirit of warfare before the battle begins.
