Too often I see even experienced makers getting carried away with the design and bizarrely covering more of the stone than is necessary. Thank you I’m starting jewelry making, I’ve been a rock hounder for years and didn’t like a lot of the designs in wire wrapping. This is a perfect example of an elegant simplicity design. Even though making it probably isn’t as simple haha. Personally I’d like to try making this with the X made of the stabilizing front two wires centered on the stone rather than centered at the top. It might take away from the gems appearance but if it brings out the wrappings elegance it could enhance the overall appearance. I’d love to hear your thoughts!

You make it look easy but it’s far from it. I tried following a video after ordering a bunch of Sterling Silver to do a beautiful Cab and it was just awful. I just ended up wasting a huge amount of sterling silver!
