Thank you. I appreciate the tip about curling in the end of the coil wire before you pinch it down. I've never seen anyone do that. What I really appreciate from your method is how meticulous you are in making your coils giving each coil wrap attention, and showing us how to straighten the coils and neatening them up. You do good work not only in your products but in your teaching.

You just made my whole day! This is the technique I have been looking for! I do not feel that those pre-made "crimp-on" pieces are reliable--I have had the cord of too many beloved necklaces just pull right out from the slightest tug (or sometimes I dont notice any pull at all & they just come loose). Fortinately I have been at home & didnt loose my pendants when this happened but am afraid to wear them again in fwar of losing them while out & about. I have been looking for more secure ways to attach them but couldn't find any. I am good with my hands & tools & am constanly "bushcrafting" things using household items like paperclips, etc. when I meed a quick custom jump ring, zipper pull, etc. so I am so inspired h empowered and feel blessed to have found your KZbin video! Of course, you are very talents and skilled and make it look so easy! LOL Thank you fir sharing your amazing creativity with us, you have touched and blessed my lofe with this.

Just what I needed! I never thought I could finish off ends myself, always buying cheap end caps that peeled and looked awful. So very glad I found your channel, Melissa, you saved me a big bother, and now my pendants will look very good on the leather cords I did not know what to do with. Thank you so much! I like #2 the best - so versatile. I would suggest that we pinch the loop end on one side so it fits all pendant jump ring sizes being an oval instead of round. I can also see adding a small bead on the tail near the loop, or an endcap to cover the leather trip, that would look like a rondelle bead over it - same matching copper metal.

I tried out the #2 method with wire loops both ends, and I used cheap Half Hard 20 gauge crafting wire for practice. This was very hard on the fingers and holding the wire and leather together while trying to wrap was very hard! I think I will switch to #1 method with leather loops and add a jump ring. That Half Hard wire is very hard to work with. I did not want to waste my Dead Soft copper wire without some practice first. I love these 3 finishes, so convenient to make chokers with. Thank you!

What a great video! The close-up camera work is perfect for seeing what you're doing. I realize I'm watching this video three years after the fact, but do you happen to remember what gauge of wire you used for this project?
