I’m asking if is it possible that this “double overhang” clapper, don’t strike in a little higher point of the bell. How it’s possibile that it works right?

​@@spg1211 I'm trying to explain. This clappers have two axes of rotation. The clapper must beat at the precise point of the bell, and here it does it. But, with this double overhang, there could be a possibility that it beat the bell in a higher point of the bell, I don't know how, but if you think, for example by hand, you can make it beat at a higher point in the bell. When the bell rings, it works well, but what is the secret? :) The bell must not go higher of, i suppose, 30°, or there is a lot of weight under the ball of the clapper? I hope I managed to explain :)

@@alessiomarega4238 Now I do understand :) Weight under the clapper must be very precisely "tuned" in the belltower. At the exact agle with exact weight under the clapper this double overhand helps clapper to bounce from the bell, and stay about cm away from the bell until the bell turns on the other side. But If the weight is too big, clapper bounces twice or more, and if weight is even bigger clapper stays "glued" to the bell until the bell goes to the other side. Very strange the big bell...for me looks like Serafini's or Franchi's...but in 1826 i think that Franchi was already dead...

Alessio Marega It must be Serafinis. I would notice Franchis Logo, and Franchi used arabic numbers back then in 18th century

Veliki zvon je verjetno ulil Samassa

Zvona ZG Nadbiskupije i ostale biskupije Žal nebo držalo. Samassa ni nikoli uporabljal takšnega profila.
