Right? Nerfed for being too good at kiting when that was the whole point of her. Be a caster with evasion. Guess riot wants every mage to be a "roll your face on the keyboard and do a billion damage" champ.

Idk what it is about devs lately where they don't understand their own game. It's not just in lol. It's usually most apperent in smaller patches, but every time I see "rework" in any game, it's become "how are they going to totally forget how this character operates, and what they bring to the table". At this point, champs (especially AP) in league just feel like one damage combo with different VFX, Aurora was a break from that and enabled a niche playstyle (which is the whole point of heros/champions/characters), and that was seen as a nail out of place to be hammered down. I don't even play this champ outside aram, and this "rework" still has me pissed.

Okay rant is still going, but If they wanted to make her kiting less powerful, they could've just lowered her damage, or put in her passive that she can't proc/recives less benifet on-hit effects on autos. Or they could've reduced, or even removed the % Max HP damage on her passive (also because the game has an absurd ammount of it already, and they just put it on every champ instead of doing something creative). It baffles me that they looked at the whole reason this champ had a purpose, and chose to take that away. In kit design, if you have high mobility, you can balance it with 2 things. Either the damage is low, or the character is squishy (and not just a low HP number, this also means they don't have super reliable tools to survive and/or there are windows for them to be punished which don't require too much to exploit. The severity depends on the ammonut of damage and mobility.) They decided to keep her squishy, change practically no damage, and she's just as durable as she normally is. In other words, they just made her worse for practically no tradeoff. On top of all that, the mobility/movespeed was the entire purpose if her kit, they literally, on an objective basis, took away what made her unique/what justified her existence. This is why I say balance teams don't seem to understand their games. There are obvious rules, like, the kit design 101, that they are blatantly breaking.

Her w gives move speed now, and a lot of it. Her ult duration got increased allowing for more kiting and jumping back and forth. I think you’re missing the forest for the trees. They literally enhanced the unique things about her while toning down some ms else where. I’ve also seen your comment else where so it’s not original and just people complaining without understanding.

New idea: Tiny Cho'gath, you play him full AP and never R so you stay small and cute. You can dodge spells while doing massive damage, could even be viable.

Trick build of the day, Aurora Banning her is actually a net positive in your gameplay. Then again after her rework there's not much to say about that champ, just your regular bursty mage. Iceborn Gauntlet if you wanna be extra EXTRA annoying, being invisible is such a hassle to deal with, so you can Q auto-hop-invi away uninterrupted.

Hmmm.. Her 2nd Q cast. The only reason I could see any benefit in delaying it would be because of Liandry's to prolong burn, Shadowflame to proc crit for enemies at threshold, horizon proc when out of range and possibly also for Cosmic drive to maintain speed for kiting/chasing. Otherwise I do think it's weird to let you delay it. Maybe it's also for big brain combos like for waiting out shields and other clever stuff like that.

La cosa con Aurora es que es un animal de presa y su Gameplay (antes) mostraba esto con ese buffo de velocidad que ganaba con la pasiba. Ahora sin esta, es solo un conejo indefenso ante campeones más rápidos que ella. La definitiva también es una molestia ahora que la han cambiado pero el que se borrara la velocidad de movimiento de la pasiva me parece aún peor. Reason for why you want to delay her Q return is because the return does more damage based on missing HP. So now you can actually just keep on auto attacking until it runs out and it will likely do a little bit more damage at the end. Might be miniscule in 1v1s and maybe not worth it if you wish to proc electrocute or something... but in lategame teamfights with lots of bursts going on it'll definitely help to delay Q to output more damage.
