I've had my hub for a year, but I only use it in the colder months. I love it. Very responsive and easily handles the watts I can throw at it. The new update with virtual shifting is excellent. It feels great and responds instantly to gear changes. Plus it saves on physical wear and tear to your drivetrain. Very happy with my purchase a year on.

I quite like my Zwift Hub. I had an issue with the first one I received. Zwift support was amazing. The trainer I received from that has worked great. Looking forward to using it more through the winter. I wasn't aware that the power numbers improved. In regards to cadence I use a cadence sensor for that anyways. Nice job on this updated review.

Had mine for about a year. It’s worked perfectly and hasn’t given any trouble. The only initial issue I had was pairing the unit with my laptop. Having an ANT+ dongle is an absolute must it doesn’t work very well with BT in my experience. Overall very happy.
@Mjvv99 Жыл бұрын
Hi, well i would like you to try to verify the connections of the BT or the ANT + probable if You hace both of them connected, it may cause interference

@@elenagruber5953 what’s your setup? Do you have the hub linked to your companion app or laptop? I recommend linking it to your laptops Bluetooth. Make sure you have a nice stable Wi-Fi connection if your not wired in.

I’ve had my Zwift Hub about a year also I use my Stages left crankarm for my power and cadence. I do this mainly because of the cadence reading low. Visually it distracting when your avatar is doing 35rpm and you’re spinning 80rpm. The cadence is my only “gripe” with the Hub. I recommend it as a good first smart trainer.

Does trainer track well with power compared to the stages power meter.?

I'm in the UK, and for whatever reason the massive sports retailer "SportsDirect" had the JetBlack Volt for sale in the summer for £209 ($255) so I bought one to "future proof" my indoor training, I currently use a Kickr V5 but if this should break down mid winter it'd be a disaster here in the Scottish Highlands. I've only today taken it out the box and set it up (nasty quality cassette, not even a SunRace!), and done the firmware update (v 3.13) which I believe is now capable of auto calibration and 10Hz with Dual bluetooth? Gonna try it out tomorrow, fingers crossed... accuracy is not as good as the V5 but then it was a 1/4 of the price and for that money and the rest of the features an absolute bargain! Looks to be a solid and well constructed machine.... (Best thing is as a broken hearted RGT user it doesn't have Z all over it ! Moving to IndieVelo!)

Hi, great video! are there any major differences with the Elite Suito you mentionned at the end of the video? Which one is quieter? Thanks for your help 🙂

For the price is amazing on ERG and the power output being so smooth without jump during the power targets i just feel they should had released the 10Hz since volt also had it months ago, do you have any insight on that or it will not on the path soon? :)

It pivots and has some weight making it clumsy to move unless possibly slid on mat.

I saw a Sunrace cassette on yours. Is that what comes preinstalled with the trainer?
@DesFit Жыл бұрын
I believe that’s the standard cassette they use, I’ve seen manufacturers change from time to time but that should be the standard. Appears to be the same one that comes on Wahoo trainers and it works well.

At the sound test i can hear hum from the trainer. My wife's one do the same hum. Its really annyoing and we are thinking about to replace it against a kickr core. Does the wahoo do the same hum noise? I have seen u have already tested wahoo.

Do folks who use such trainers with apps like Zwift, do you find it weird to not be able to manually turn? When riding a dumb trainer without an app I don't actually miss not being able to turn because there's no visuals, but I just tried Zwift for the first time on an old dumb trainer and it just felt off.

New to indoor trainers and looking to purchase my first one. How important is Wi-Fi connectivity? All seem to have ANT+ and Bluetooth but no Wi-Fi connectivity. Assume it isn’t important if they don’t offer it?
@DesFit11 ай бұрын
It can come in handy if you do online racing or if you have a lot of wireless interference where you ride where it in general there’s a more consistent connection but not mandatory by any means. I actually almost always connect via Bluetooth and don’t have any issues .

Thoughts on this or the kickr core? Seeing as they are close in price now.
@Micha112233 Жыл бұрын
Wahoo had (has?) Quality issues with the kickr/core, so much that the CEO has made a video statement about this. The main bearing on my kickr core failed (noise) after ~400h usage. Dont know how the zwift hub will perform durability wise. But i guess there will be less sells and therefore less complaints online. Featurewise i would choose the hub(zwift cog)
@oldtwinsna834711 ай бұрын
The Kickr core is an extremely cheaply made product. Mine froze and self destructed after about 2 years, gradually becoming louder and louder, to the point it was louder than a car engine at full throttle (not kidding either). When I took it apart, I was shocked at the extremely poor parts they put on it. Supposedly the full Kickr product is built way better, but they cheapened out on the core so much i would advise anyone to look at something else.
