The wiki shows which routes lead to where. Even following the route is still luck since wasteland isn't guaranteed. That's why this is the dragon run of dreams.

Favorite Dragon mon.... Probably the original Goodra line, even though it's kinda goofy to use in game That aside, recently you can use the Challenge Run to actually force you to do either mono-generation run, mono-type run, or both. That mode actually prevents you from using Pokemon outside of the decided limit even if you catch it. I almost finished my mono-Steel run, but not having Metagross actually hurt since Excadrill is so frail
