@@rahulpandey9472 ofcourse you feel it, try locking it to 60 then, maybe its better, but its the games fault so not much of options there instead of just enjoying the game with what u have. The ghosting and blurry smearing is also an issue that contributes with the feeling of lag maybe witch u get with upscaling now, should be fixed with dlss 4 and fsr 4 and maybe older gens to later. I dont agree that without frame gen the game is better played, its the first thing u notice when ur in the lesser zone town that u need it, atleast it was with the day 1 patch still. And since i saw even 4090's struggling to hit stable 60 fps without frame gen, u know its un optimized, also cpu bottlenecked and the only way to play it is with frame gen locked to 30 or 60 depending on ur pc witch solves most problems. But then u still needed to mod the game to fix the mouse acceleration and x-y axis lol. Couldn't be much clearer, cheers!, good to see the 1660's can run it though. 1 more thing i noticed is that v-sync lags alot so leave it off.

Fun fact time. Stutter 2 Lag of Chornobyl and Metro Exodus are 5 years apart and yet look very similar graphically. One however performs very good and the other not so good. Take into account the fully ray traced version of Exodus and it honestly puts Stalker 2 to even further shame. The power of UE5 my friends as Kryzzp would say.

@@nolejd50 Yes, while you are running through corridors, a glacier or a desert... when you enter an enemy camp the drop to 40+ FPS or when you find yourself in a half-corridor location with a children's camp where there is more grass FPS generally drops for moments up to 20 frames and this is without ray tracing, but of course " 10 times better."

The differences between my OC and the Ti are: TMUs: 88 vs 96 Shaders: 1408 Unified vs 1536 Pixel Fillrate: 87.1 Gpixel/s vs 89.3 GPixel/s Texture Fillrate: 159.7 GTexle/s vs 178.6 GTexel/s Memory: GDDR (Micron) vs GDDR6 (Micron) Memory Bandwidth: 192.1 GB/s vs 288.0 GB/s GPU Clock: 1530 MHz vs 1500 MHz Memory: 2001 MHz vs 1500 MHz Boost: 1815 MHz vs 1860 MHz SO overall, I'm seeing pretty close to what you're showing along with the wonderful memory leak that eventually causes the game to drop to 5-10 fps until I either exit the game or pause it and wait. I hope GSC can fix it, but I'm saving up for a GPU upgrade for my system to help out. But, I'm still enjoying the game as is. The story has me intrigued and I want to see how it ends. I love exploring and just looking for loot.

@@CasuallyHuman099 the 9800 gets more fps in open field but in the towns the core ultra doesnt drop like when you see crispy test gpus. i used to drop in to the 20s in rostok on my old i7 9700k so to go in to rostok and it not even drop any frames i was shocked and very pleased. i should note though i did buy cudimm high speed ram. it really helps.

Regarding to what you said about the multi frame gen coming for the 50 series: they were getting 27 fps at native without any dlss and indeed they went up to like 200 fps, but they enabled DLSS too so I believe they were then getting closer to a baseline of 60fps and then adding frame generation to about 200fps. It's sounds alot better than starting at 27 fps but even 60 fps isn't amazing in terms of input lag so i really hope it isn't obnoxious but from what i've seen the input latency doesn't increase much going from 2x to 4x so atleast thats a positive but i'm still really excited to see this feature come out and have you benchmark it :D

Lossless Scaling Frame Generation may help with the fps. It works on top of the FSR FG. You probably need a controller though to offset the latency although your mileage may vary as some do say it's not that noticeable for them.

People think you need a 4070 ti super or 4080 to play anything these days. yeah, maybe at ultra 1440p. Man, I have a 3070 and I play nearly every game max settings 1080p 100+fps all day. And even at 1440p dlss quality I run around that too in most. 1-2 games have Vram issues on ultra, no problem! I turn down 1 thing, tada! Fixed.

I completed the game with 1660ti, with the latest patches before the New Year the game started working without any problems, on medium in FHD with XeSS ultra quality plus the picture looked best for me and it turned out to be around 50-70 fps depending on the location. It's a pity that FG didn't work normally, the game crashes with it.

On my 2070 Super, XeSS looks definitely better than FSR, it's almost similar to DLSS, but slightly less FPS. FSR is really ghosty and blurry on performance setting.

I just swapped over from my 1440p screen to my 1080p screen on silent hill 2, to see how different 1080p fsr quality looks, and it's so much better looking on a native 1080p screen. What you're seeing on your big screen, really isn't what a 1080p screen is seeing.

Hey! Thanks! I strongly recommend you to hold off, I tried this game on my friend's R5 3600, 32GB DDR4 and RTX 4070, and I was seeing 20-30 fps in the settlement area / 50-60 outside. Now the game is running a bit better than back at release but I don't think a 4790K will cut it!
