This video shows a demo every year from 1982 to 2017. The demos from 1982 and 1984 is commercial demos, and XL-1 from 1983 was made for Pete Shelly's album, so XL-1 is supposed to run synchronized with the album as it features lyrics.
A lot of editing was done to make this video, but when I recorded the demos I recorded them in full length, and I have uploaded them all in full length with a link for download, so just click on the link in the list if you want to see a demo or get the download link.

I have chosen just one demo for every year, and there are off course many more demos, and some of them might be better than those in this video, but all the demos in this video are working on standard ZX Spectrum 48k machines and exists in a Tap file.

Nostalgia... Also, checking back to the mentions in a couple of them of my name from when I made Speccy demos around the mid-later 90s. Shock Megademo part 2, when put on the Your Sinclair covertape in er.. '93, was the one that inspired me and thinking 'how the hell did they do that', and getting into the scene via Alchemist PD and Prism PD libraries, then finding other UK crews and writing to them (letters in the post, maybe the occasional phone call if you could swap numbers - weren't those so different times!), attending events like the NSSS and meeting up there.

I never saw this demos in the epoch of spectrum, there is people programing with old spectrum ? I have main in good condition, a 128 k inves, with handred games, most of them original..

I am guessing this was done just by cycling through frames which were generated on a modern computer. I could of course be wrong, but I doubt the Spectrum could do all the calculations for this in real time.

I have seen. Some demosntrations, especially modern ones, have a double screen. It must be written strictly in 50fps noflic (ALT + F3 = MENU noflic) Emulator Unreal Video zxaaa.net/store/files/rindexkalantajunrealfix.zip F3 - LOAD (tap,scl,trd)

Noflick is for showing multicolor pictures in emulator without flickering, right ? But on real hardware there will be flickering...
