I’ve owned the bike for 1 year as of 3 days ago and had no issue being my first bike. Take it slow. Learn the bike and what it does and don’t be stupid and you’ll be okay!

Honestly other than the money aspect of getting a zx6r as a first bike and the possibility of you dropping it I’d say go for it. If you have discipline, the zx6r under 10,000 rpms isn’t much faster than a ninja 500. It’s really after that where it becomes a totally different bike. You can get yourself into trouble fast on this bike, if you’re careful you can definitely do it though.

So I actually bought this bike brand new with 7 miles on it for a really good deal 1 month before the 24 even came out. So honestly the only reason is because it was a great deal and the 24 wasn’t even out yet.
