I bought the Superlight 2 after i used 2 original superlight. Love the shape. It is more like a refresh then a new mouse. It is fine for me. My second Superlight is only 1 year old, but still. Im happy with my purchase so far. The optical switches sound so different though

I also have one GPX 2 and I know the specs of the mouse quite well. So you can't say the mouse have optical switches when in fact the switches are hybrid, both optical and mechanical. But I can surely praise the Hero 2 sensor as see it as a bit more than a refresh, as the GPX 1 Hero 1 was able of 25,6k dpi while and become 32k dpi with the Hero 2 wich comes with the GPX 2; also ips is now achieving at 650 ips. Polling rate is still 2000hz, which is half the standard by nowadays (Razer, Lamzu...............) available on wireless premier mice. Still with a good CPU and a screen with high refresh rate (240hz+) it's already noticiable. I imagine if they went with options up to 4kzh. Apart that, the mouse is works wonderfully (I have for more than a month and been using it consistently with other high performence mice like the razers DAV3pro and Viper V2 pro (with the Focus Pro sensor reaching 30k dpi and 750ips, and these yes with full optical switches; the Lamzu Thorn Wireless and the Atlantis mini pro (both also polling 4kzh, PAW 3395 sensor) and it's a much different mouse on the inside than the previous and specs outdated GPX 1. I'm so very happy to have adding the GPX 2 to the other top tier mice I also have and that I use interchangeably, with performance distinction mainly in FPS games; none are my choice for daily use in common tasks like office, internet browsing, etc. For that I really prefer another mouse rated as gaming mouse, the razer basilisk V3 pro at my home and "personel" office, and a BV3 ultimate at my "working" office - I will replace the ultimate as I sometimes have trouble to find the micro USB cable, plus being a "proprietary" one not being compatble with regular ones; I could add here the logitech G502 X plus as a great office/browisng mouse, with the Hero sensor of 25,6K - a very capable sensor for work or entertainment (except FPS games, at least), already with USB C charging when compared to it's previous G502 series brothers, still with micro USB. Both mice are very comfortable for regular use, but I find the Basilisk V3 pro the most consistent. Anyway, at the end of the day people should use, for whatever reasons, the mice they feel more comfortable with, although regarding gaming and video (and even sound editind) the internals will have a great role on chosing the mouse/mice each one feels more comfortable using.

people complain about the pulling rate of the mice way too much, nearly every csgo pro is still using 1k pulling and alot of them are on zowie mice with outdated sensors yet they're still light years better than people with the highest end peripherals

Shape is king, better try out before buying. In term of performance I would say no real major difference a human can feel.

If you end up prefering the Thorn shape, there is absolutely no reason to get the GPX2 whatsoever. The performance is basically the same, and with the Thorn, you have lower weight, more consistent mouse clicks (out of the box at least), and better mouse feet, not to mention, almost half the price of the GPX2. I'll be getting the GPX2 though because I'm a GPX fanatic and have been so for over 2 years.

we have come to a point where improvements in mouse are giving negligible effects/outcome. I think more importantly, shape is king, and if the shape is good, there's no reason to make any changes. That said, other companies like Lamzu and Pulsar are more guilty for pushing new versions with very little differences to earlier iterations.

indeed underwhelming, it would feel very much like using the same old mouse except for eliminating the micro usb altogether finally. I am also looking at razer and I feel even they are not going to innovate much in the next 2 years ahead.

Having 2k polling rate is better in my opinion since not a lot of games are even optimized for 4k , Logitech just went the safe route , just wish the switches were a lot lighter

Windows 11 actually had an update not too long ago that fixes stuttering in games when using higher polling rate than 1k (2k-8k). So having it set to 4k would’ve been way better and useable. It now only stutters if you’re on w10 or in need of a cpu upgrade which I’m sure is most people. I’m on 5800x3d/5900x and don’t have any issues with 8k
