My dad won a yellowjackets shirt in a claw machine 30 years ago. Ive worn the shirt my whole life. Still have it. And it means alot to me. My dad was a fan. Not me so much when I was little, but now I cant stop listening to them. Everyone thinks Im crazy but oh well. This beat up holey shirt reminds me of my dad who passed away 7 years ago.

All of you are fine Musicians ! I thought That Jimmy Haslip was one of the "irrepressible" element in this band, but this young bassist, show me that is not true; I don't miss so much, Mr Haslip. (I still admire him a lot) The one for me truly irrepressible is William Kennedy! I Hope that you all four be many years to come together, Great group.

Me encanta ver cómo el proyecto ha mantenido la esencia a través de ya prácticamente 40 años, sin dejar de evolucionar; aún cuando nuevos músicos han llegado cada cierto tiempo. Russell Ferrante es maravilloso.

Dane Alderson has a Master's degree in Bass Face.

And he has 4 post-doctoral degrees in creativity, groove in sound and in being bad (b)ass. Check the several Yellowjackets concerts on youtube. Or search there for "Troy Robert's Nu-jive CD launch". Whooa. Great song, too.

So weird seeing this lineup of the YellowJackets. I used to go see them almost weekly playing at a bar in Hollywood. I don't even think they had come up with name YellowJackets yet. They would alternate sets between backing up Robben Ford and then a set with Marylyn Scott singing which some of the tunes Robben would play on. Now to see the YellowJackets and Russ Ferrante is only one left of the original band. So I've been a fan back to 1980 when it all started.

BF 541, which was identical to the MD 441U - except that it was all black and did not have the bass roll-off switch.

Very interested as well. Anyone knows anything? BTW: They just released a new Live CD "Yellowjackets XL" with the great WDR Big Band: www.yellowjackets.com/store-page/p/yellowjackets-wdr-big-band-jackets-xl

@@tomarikawa yeah I received my copy a couple of days ago. Good album for sure. Yellowjackets never disappoints. But I'd rather hear the the quartet alone and not them collaborating with a big band. But anyhow, it's great to hear the EWI again.
